This is a really good video! I built a few pcs for my friends but I'm doing a build for myself for the holidays and I decided to go with this case. I'm going with an i7-10700 with an rog strix b460-i and a cooler master h212 black for the cooler. I was worried if my 2070 was gona fit but seeing that you managed to get a 3070 FE helped clear my conscience. Your video and analysis is really good. Keep up the good work :)

It was selled in my area I couldnt resist because it was a good price for 300€. I took out the motherboard and the powersupply for my own builds, and the rest of the system I combined with some used stuff I had lying around (mATX b450 motherboard and mATX Tower and ATX psu) . I was thinking doing a build similar, with the 3070 FE. Do you think its worth trying to find one new or for about £300 second hand.

Thanks for the video, I'm going to build in the same case with a 3070 FE. But I'm choosing an SFX PSU as I heard it really helps airflow.
@WayneWebbFilms3 жыл бұрын
I have heard the same but not tested that tbh. You'll need to be open to the idea of cable extensions because the cables on an SFX may not be long enough primarily the 8 pin CPU and 24 pin motherboard cables.

Hi. Was there additional plugs for the two fans you popped in the front or did they go into your MOBO somewhere? I have two RGB fans I want to add to this case and just wondered if the slots in the hub on the back are already taken up by the two fans already installed in the case.Thanks
@WayneWebbFilms4 жыл бұрын
Hi dude, there are only 3 ports in the hub for fans. I'm pretty sure I used a splitter on the front or the fans had an adaptor (PST) on them that allowed for daisy chaining and then into the hub. ITX boards are generally lacking in fan headers bit if you just use a splitter you'll be absolutely fine. Here is a link for the kind of thing I use www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N1Z3FYD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_R9U8FbYVMPW57?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I was gonna ask about how you managed to hide the HD Audio cable but when you popped the rear panel off I realised that you didn't connect it at all. Do you have any clue on how I can hide the cable? What about tucking it under the M.2 Heatsink? (I just got the same motherboard and case). Great vid btw keep up the good work!
@WayneWebbFilms3 жыл бұрын
There is a cable management hole under where the HD Audio cable resides. You can route it so that it is hidden under the gpu. Its a bit fiddly so I probably couldn't be bothered with the build. Tbh I don't think I ever use headphones in the Front Panel.

What is the max temperature of this GPU? I have the same case and just installed an Asus Dual 3070 OC, it is quite thick, almost touching the PSU shroud. It is really loud and hot. Temperatures hit 84 degrees after just a few minutes of gaming.

Not too sure but must have been mid 60s. A lot of cards struggle due to the lack of clearance. Plus it is summer here in the UK. Have you tried upping the fan curve of the gpu and case fans?

I was worried about a rtx 3070 fe in this case but the temps seem fine. Do you think the larger 510 would offer significantly batter temps ?
@WayneWebbFilms4 жыл бұрын
Hi, the temps are good on this case but you really need to air-cool because it needs as much airflow as possible. The h510 isn't a case I have built in, but the airflow isn't amazing from what I've seen. That said, it is an ATX mid tower so will be a better performer in theory. The h700/h710 cases are really nice if you're going ATX.
@JHayler74 жыл бұрын
@@WayneWebbFilms thanks for the reply. I have a rtx 3070 Fe (somehow :) ) and a 5600x. I saw some mods where the psu shroud can be cut but if temps are decent then doesn't not seem worth the effort. How much did this all cost total? I know that prices for graphic cards and cpus are insane right now. I’m actually planning to build a similar build with the same case after the stock market cools down
@WayneWebbFilms4 жыл бұрын
Hi, approx £1500 if buying a combination of used/new. Just depends on what deals you can pick up really. Put the parts into pcpartpicker and that will give you a better idea. Obviously you can get a lesser CPU and GPU to being the price down and you can get away with 16gb Ram.

How do you think this build would go with a 3 fan RTX 3070? I’m looking at building one with air cooling and would love some input!
@WayneWebbFilms3 жыл бұрын
Hi, unfortunately no. If you said 3070 FE then that would work but there isn't a lot of work to play with. At most you have 2.5 slots and they you're up against the psu shroud. The H400i would be a better bet for larger cards but that is matx
@rordanlamb81743 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your input. I have sorted a MSI Ventus 2x for my build, same case. What’s your thoughts ? Cpu is 5800x.
@WayneWebbFilms3 жыл бұрын
Cool, that card should work well. I've not actually used the 5000 series, the pricing and availability put me right off AMD for the first time in years. I gather the new chips are hot, but they were with 3000 series and I used to clock at 4.2 and undervolt at 1.25v otherwise it tries running at 1.4v+ and that's when the temps rocket. What cooler are you looking at getting? My recommendation would be an air cooler in this case.
@rordanlamb81743 жыл бұрын
@@WayneWebbFilms I haven’t fully decided yet between an AIO or some sort of Noctua. Would air be a better choice ? If so, why do you think?
@WayneWebbFilms3 жыл бұрын
@@rordanlamb8174 in my experience the gpu will suffer massively. That said it may not be totally awful if you do the fans in a pull configuration. Basically its down to airflow. The gpu suffers with the limited space as it is, so choking it further with an aio isn't the best idea. I've done systems with an aio and a hybrid gpu and it can struggle even then. My suggestion for best overall temps would be an aircooler and a couple of decent fans in the front.

@WayneWebbFilms4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yeah that'll work great. I would probably advise you to use an aftermarket air cooler in this case or a 120mm AIO. Using a 240mm kills the airflow

@@WayneWebbFilms could you explain how it kills the air flow. Im going through my parts on pcpartpicker and am wondering would a 3080 got with a 240 rad
@WayneWebbFilms4 жыл бұрын
@@ragemk5841 the radiator stops good airflow for the GPU is what I mean, so temps will be a little higher than if you were using an air cooler. Your CPU will be better off of course. Suppose its just how you look at things. I was speaking to someone yesterday who said their temps were about 10 degrees higher on the 3070 fe with a 240 AIO. I have previously tested which was a while ago and I don't have any figures but it wasn't fantastic.
