Hi Lazward! This is a bit random and not about this video in particular, but I was watching Nazih playing oud and saw a couple of times he played what both looked and sounded like "bar chords" on a guitar, but it would require a different tuning for that to work... Have you seen him doing this too? (I can find an example if you need... As you know, in many of his videos you can't always see his fingering hand to know exactly how he's playing, but Ive seen him do this "bar chord" shape a number of times and it always blows my mind to see it on oud...) Do you know if Nazih uses different tunings like this, and if so, what tunings he uses commonly? I don't know who else to ask, but thought If anyone would know, it's probably you! Thank you in advance, sir!

Hi there I'm not an expert myself, in fact i copy alot from him too, just the 'for dummies' version cuz I'm too lazy and he's too good I'm currently learning guitar yo learn about all this But I've managed to do some barr chords both major and minor using the C_C tuning Hope he could help us more in that 🎉

@macitotom thank you, sir-- Really appreciate your reply! I had kind of assumed that the lowest and highest strings would need to be the same note because of the nature of bar chords, and C to C makes sense (as from bass to treble, C-F-A-D-G-C is a common tuning...) But in the song 2011 for example, I'm almost positive his low string is tuned to a B... But that doesn't necessarily mean much--he could use different tunings for different songs, or he could have just tuned to himself by ear without caring about a reference note, or the recordings could be sped up/ slowed down or pitch shifted after the fact.... anyway. If anyone knows or has any insights, I'd love to hear...
