Just to put it out there: George Castanza is Larry David. Jason didn't know that at first, but that's who he was eventually channeling as George, and whose words he was speaking anyway. Anyone looking for Castanza-funny needs to look to Larry.

I corrected that some time ago. I type sudo a lot in one day, and pseudo not so much - so that was the reason for the mistake. Just by taking a closer look you should have been able to follow what I was saying. That is context, also something that one tends to learn in high school. I am not writing for a grade, every once in awhile there will be a mistake, learn to get over it, and find a point.

Generally to be a good comedy actor you have to have a good sense of humour, or at least some vague understanding of comedy. I think that's what's so baffling about his twitter to some people. He has great comic timing on Seinfeld, he knows exactly how to deliver his jokes, he clearly gets the jokes and knows why they're funny, which should suggest he has a good sense of humour, but the jokes on his twitter are shockingly bad.

Jimmy bringing up Matthew Shepard case shows how little informed the general public still is on this topic. Everyone bought the quick media story of “hate and gay bashing” because it was the easy sell. A quick look into the background of events shows a person (Shepard) charged in the past with sexual assault on a minor, a meth addict and dealer who was tied into a larger organization in Colorado, he had history with at least one of the men (McKinney) who was also a male hustler, and both men shared with the murder have maintained the crime had nothing to do Shepard’s sexuality but was two addicts ripping off a low level dealer. Even the prosecutor said this was about greed. To hear the GLAD and leftist-media tell the story, it was two good ‘ol’ boys ranch hands who saw a faggot and just had two kill him. The whole story is bullshit.

How is knowing what is and isn't funny not a useful skill when it comes to writing funny things, on twitter or otherwise? What a stupid thing to say. Do you have to be Larry David to write/say funny things..? No. I'm saying that ALMOST EVERYONE who can act funny/be a good character in a comedy is somewhat funny in real life. Obviously there are exceptions to this, everybody knows this, it's just particularly surprising with Jason Alexander because the gap between him and George is so huge.

Ugh you're just being extremely obtuse now. I'm not saying it's NOT POSSIBLE for him to not be funny outside the show or on twitter. The point of the video is that the difference between his level of humour on the show and on here is surprising/funny. Also I didn't say most people who know good comedy are good comedians. I said most people who are good comedy actors know what is and isn't funny. It's a pretty useful skill for them to have, being comedy actors...
