I thought it was way too long. They could of made it shorter. The plot wasn't anything new. An over bearing military is trying to take over a less evolved country but that country is strong and can fight back and have heart. It's been made a thousand times before. Cameron is now a white apologists and a cuck. He was trashing males when the second came on and said testosterone should be genetically taken out of men's bodies because it makes men mean or whatever. Dude is a goofy

MaKilla Gorilla Self interest is what the country is built on. Freedom of association, the freedom to be left the fuck alone. The half of the country that doesnt pay taxes and votes for higher taxes so they can get more handouts are also voting in their own self interest. That's the whole point of voting, to attempt to choose a represenative that represents the interests of society at large. And he's more than in the right to bitch about taxes, he lives in the highest overall taxed county in America, yet they still dont have money to fill potholes because of all the waste and graft. My state has no *income tax at all,* and I can't even remember the last time I saw a pothole or a construction road closure that lasted longer than a month.

I don't know what "blockbuster" meant to Patrice, but 19 movies have grossed over $500 million dollars with an R rating. That list includes Gladiator, T2, The Passion of the Christ, and The Matrix Reloaded, which all came out before this broadcast. Rated R #50 is at about $375M. 20-50, jumping upward from the bottom of the list as I go, includes True Lies, Enter the Dragon, The Bodyguard, Sex and the City, The Matrix Revolutions, T3, The Exorcist, The Last Samurai, 300, Pretty Woman, The Matrix, The Hangover, Troy, and Saving Private Ryan. All of those movies also came out before this O&A episode aired, most of them way before. As usual, Patrice was talking out of his ass. Is it harder to become a "blockbuster" when a film is rated R? Of course. People are not going to be taking too many kids to too many Rs. But that doesn't mean it is "impossible" for an R rated movie to be a "blockbuster," unless you are going to use some sort of esoteric definition that excludes movies that you don't want to include for the sake of being right.

Those two are franchise movies so It was't surprising to see them make some money in the box office. Try to make an original R rated film these days (that's not horror) and see it flop spectacularly.

We could split hairs all day long about this…when was this clip aired? 2006 or 2007? Probably the highest grossing “Blockbuster” movies were the Matrix movies and Passion of the Christ up until this point..So give Patrice a break…I see his point. I’m sure if you look at the top 100 grossing films there’s probably 3-5 of them and most of those were released after this clip was aired. And what is the metric for a blockbuster? These dumb fucking movies nowadays have to make over $300 million half the time before they begin to turn a profit. Logan, Deadpool, Oppenheimer (obviously) and Joker were released a decade+ after they had this little discussion. So yeah, “Blockbuster Rated-R” movies are very much the exceptions to the rule.

@@shrisiva4016 look exceptions don't break the rule. Of course you'd find a few but that doesn't mean that generallly R rated films tend to male less money in the BO.

What I hate about Cameron is he acts like he is not a part of what he is putting down. A big evil corporation made this movie not some mom and pop shop. Cameron is spending hundreds of millions to tell us a story about the evils of the thing they made him hundreds of millions.

The only reason they didnt like the trailer is because Bobby said it was good. So they went into it wanting it to suck and picked it apart. That trailer was awesome & the movie rocked. I expect that behavior from O&A but Patrice was always a "Think for his self" kind of guy and I was surprised at his reaction.
