Happy Canada Day! "O Canada" on a cylinder recording released May, 1914 played on a machine from 1911. Sorry, done fast, not up to Cameron's standards.

This recording - and the presentation - are awesome. And amazing sound quality for 110 year ago. Thank you for posting this gem.

Very nice anthem. But it would be nice if Canada's first red ensign was there to go along with the theme

The recording was surely done in 1914 because of the outbreak of world war one.

Interesting it was on a wax cylinder in 1914 because by 18914 they had been mostly superseded by phonograph records.
