O.com667 x Junox & Wizzen (aka O.COM) is a duo of recording/ performing artists from Windhoek, Namibia. The members are Samuel Mbalundu whose stage name is Junox and Muakambithatji Katetu whose stage name is Wizzen.
The album Ecstasy is O.com667's second studio album released in 2020. The Album features various Namibian Artists including Exit Rockaz the legendary Kwaito artist, Ethnix Namibia which is an award-wining RNB & Afro-pop duo and Ndaka Yonongo (shortly known as Ndaka or Mr Lengedary on the beat) a self-taught beatmaker, producer and one of Windhoek's hottest upcoming artists.
O.com667 x Junox & Wizzen (aka O.COM) carried on from where they left off when they released their last studio album in 2018. Their Ecstasy Album is a blend of native Namibian music (drawing from the various Ovadhimba music styles like omutjopa, onyando etc) with Afro-pop, Afro-urban, Afro-beats, Township Disco and Kwaito.
Their lyrical content is captivating, motivating and thoughtful. Junox & Wizzen dive into their everyday struggles and reflect on their lived experiences. The lyrics are in Oshiwambo, Otjiherero, English and Oludhimba (aka Dhimba or Otjizemba, Zemba), these are Bantu languages native to Nambia.
Junox & Wizzen question witchcraft (Track 8 - Nyaka nyaka) and ethnocentrism (Track 2 - Kanyanga), explore love (Track 12- Moro) and indifference (Tack 7 - Mukaangandi), wealth and poverty (Track 11 - Osuuka), unity and separation (Track 4 - Epeye), sobriety and alcoholism (Track 11 - Osuuka), in their everyday pursuit for a balance of joy (Track 3 - Ello) and sadness (Track 5 - Nkee Waile); light (Track 1 - Huku) and darkness (Track 10 - Mpungu Kalumbwa).
