Chris D I did play hockey actually. I’ve been a fan since shortly after birth. I’m 31 years old. The game has changed. You don’t have to like it but that’s how it is. Despite how many narratives people like you want to create, the league has a basic and legal obligation to limit injury. If you’re going to let guys off for punching other unsuspecting players in the head, that creates inconsistency after inconsistency with the agreements that both the players and league have come to in order to preserve player safety. It is getting softer. Just like it's getting faster. Whenever someone is certain they won't get their ass beat, they frequently will behave like sassy, passive aggressive middle school girls. This is one of the main issues with soften up the game to the point we have today. Guys are behaving like women out there at times; thinking they can just do whatever they want and then in the unlikely scenario there's an honest to god old-timer who addresses it, they act shocked and horrified that something happened, and screaming for discipline and safety. Johnny Mlad to his credit, he did some great things early in his career. He was a big part of that Boston team, and he was only 22 or 23 then. But he came into the league in a weird transition period. Shit has changed since 2008 or 2009. He knows this. The league is just different now. You can’t just go around taking swings at anyone who pokes the goalie after the whistle haha He would’ve had his chance to lay a clean, heavy hit on the guy at some point in the game, and if not that particular game, maybe another. But he knows you can’t go throwing fists at anyone for any reason.

For a guy the size of lucid and his toughness it's pretty sad and pathetic to see the size of Milan's shoulder pads.....there too big for him also he strategically uses those big pads because if you see all of his fights those pads act as a buffer in between his head that's why most fighters don't win against him because they can't punch him in the face because the pads get in the way Milan has always been a fighter who liked his spots .....I would have had respect for him when he was challenged by laraque many years and he turtles like a whim because if he was honorable he would have fought laraque but he chickened out......
