I fear that he and his department thinks that they won the case by walking away (a form of pyrrhic victory.) With no published decision by a judge, who would've had no choice but to go against the 'government,' there is no illegal activity being pursued and no pressure on the judiciary and 'gardai' to do their actual jobs for once. With no precedent set, it's probably still murky enough to continue the Plantation at a slightly slower pace under the protection of their propagandists. It's still one more cobblestone laid in the road to victory. Let them smirk, on camera, they won't have the last laugh. Wasn't it a hunger striker who said 'our revenge will be the laughter of our children.'
