With the world in utter chaos right now, it is SO refreshing to listen to these melodies and shut out the rest of the world... even if it's only temporary. I only just discovered you. This is the second one I heard. The first one was "Hallelujah." Thank you so much for your beautiful music 🎶 and for posting it online for us to watch. God bless! 😊

If only hammered Dulcimers were a more common instrument. I 'd already be playing it here in college. I want to learn every instrument. I already play strings and percussion. Now, I'm learning flute as my 1st wind instrument, but I won't be leaving this wonderful instrument out of the list. Congratulations on mastering your talents to the real world. One question. How are the notes arranged on this instrument?

Goodness this is lovely! Is there some other instrument giving a little bass, like a piano or another dulcimer?
@SuperBillstanley10 жыл бұрын
As a HD player myself, I stand in admiration of your technique, phrasing, lovely chording, and sensitive interpretation of this piece. Nicely done! You said there is a "soft strings synth pad for added bass"...is that something added in post-production, or something you play simultaneously like with a foot pedal as you're playing the HD? I've been trying to add bass to my HD playing for some time now, but cannot find any instrument or foot-pedal setup with which to do that.

The synthesized string bed that I added was done after I recorded the dulcimer track. I recorded the dulcimer track live with the video camera and with microphones. After I imported the video, I played along to the audio track on my synthesizer and then combined the audio of the synthesizer to the audio from the original video for what you hear in this recording. so to answer some questions on this video in short, there's no way to do this live as a solo performer that I know of.
