They have asked smallest value so in perfect cube examples can't we just multiply the bases with negative powers to make them multiple of 3.

For the part in where you explain how to turn 125 into a perfect square, why can't the value of k be 1/5? In that way we get 25 which is a perfect square and 1/5 is smaller than five.
