Khushboo is a 1975 Hindi-language drama film, produced by Prasan Kapoor under the Tirupati Pictures banner, presented by Jeetendra and directed by Gulzar. It stars Jeetendra, Hema Malini and music composed by R. D. Burman. Absolutely right Maykumar. When Gulzar and RDB had first discussed this song, Kishore Kumar didn't say anything. He vanished after that for about a week leaving both Gulzar and RDB exasperated. He reappeared after more than a week - he was actually practicing this song in the basement of his house (his own private studio). When the recording was complete he received an applause from everyone.... RDB broke down crying and said that the "rendition was out of the world and far beyond his expectations". I personally don't feel that any other singer could have sung it so well.

Somewhere I feel Kishore Kumar God of Indian singing primarily leave alone his acting directing music composing etc wth the long never ending list would have received the GENIUS award from Charlie Chaplin himself as Kishore Kumar was at par with him on all qualities and yet the singing phenomena was an added quality. Am truly blessed to be an Indian to proudly proclaim that Kishore Kumar was at one point in time walking on the same soil probably had touched the same air which might once have swayed through our body also. Kishore da is the best ever playback singer of the hindi film industry. On range and technicality, Rafi and Lata were better, but playback singing is beyond that. Voice modulation, expression and being able to match the actor/character and situation on screen are more important. In these aspects Kishore da is the best. Lata di herself proclaimed Kishore da as the best playback singer among them all. Its irritating when people especially Rafi fans keep harping about ability to sing classical songs. Along that argument somebody like Bade Ghulam Ali should be proclaimed the best singer above Rafi. And another irritating point is when people claim that Kishore da's voice is manipulated post recording. They simply cannot fathom that Kishore da was able to change the texture of his voice to suit the actor. He was a very good mimic.

Kishore kumar at his best, RDB and KK combination is unique and RDB has special liking and preference to Kishore kumar over all other singers, all hit songs. What a voice and music. KK has had ARREY...., Clear diction, pronunciation, above all perfect delivery style and FEELING/EXPRESSION beyond compare. He has a few drawbacks such as Classic music, bhajans, quawwalis but mind you he could as well delve deep into these areas with improvising as he is talented all rounder and complete artist
