Sanhagen hit less significant strikes, he had less attempted strikes, resorted to wrestling, didnt wobble Chito, cut him open, and say what you want but Chito was dropped to a single knee for the first time in his career. and hes the scary thing, Chito himself stats wise was very similar numbers of strikes attempted landed, for Sean and Corey. But just eyeball test and you can see who had less of hassle beating Vera and it was omally

I think he needs 3 defenses in his weight and then he can move up, I’d say he fights Merab, Cory, Yadong and then maybe another Yan fight since it was so close if Yan keeps his position. In the meantime Illia should fight Max (if he is still in Featherweight), Volk rematch if Volk wants it and Ortega or Yair, maybe both, obviously this is based on who’s at the top right now so other people might be in the picture later on.

@reasonablekinda2269 exactly. I only see Volk, Max, and Mosvar getting that title fight next with Ilia. Ortega is only on a 1-fight streak, and Yair is on a losing streak. As for O'Malley, Merab is definitely next. Corey will be a fun fight and should be after Merab, Yan definitely needs more wins, and Yadong needs more wins too. This also all depends on who continues to win cause everything changes when people win the title and rematches can be made

I agree with Aljos assessment here. Also I don’t think Sean was calling Ilia out thinking he would get the fight now, but moreso to hopefully build the hype if they both continue to win a few more fights. But Sean’s got his hands full with Merab. I’ll still take Merab, but after seeing how improve Sean looks, I do think he a better chance to win then I originally thought. He will have to evade the takedowns again w his footwork and catch him in round 1/2 to win. Which he can do, but if it’s gets deeper into round 4/5 Merab will win. But it’s a much more exciting fight now as I originally thought Merab would run thru him. I’ll go Merab by decision 3-2 or 4-1.

Sean looked great last night. Chito is scary, but i think Sean hurt him so badly in early on that Chito had no gas tank to work with in the 4th and 5th. If Chito didn't get quite so hurt early I think he could get a late stopage on Sean. (Heck even if the fight was 20 sec longer (when Chito wrecked him with that liver shot) he would have got the finish imo.)

Sean drained chitos tank early. He invested in the body a lot. Chito didn't have the gas he wanted for the 4th and 5th. Sean truly imo just went for it at the end for the finish. Which lead to him taking that shot. He could have skated around the ring and chose to give us a show.

my opinion the main reason for the body shot because it was the end of the fifth, sean trying to get the finish not playing his range game till the very and and chito knew that was the last seconds of the fight so i mean naturally that would only happen at the end of the fifth anyways to just leave it out there. i don’t feel like it’s a wow what if it kept playing out because the game plan would still be the same for sean
