I am frequently reading Albanian claims that this song is Albanian or that name is Albanian etc My friends you are missing the big picture following your logic then Georgios Kastriotis the national hero of Albania is either a Greek or Italian as he has a Greek name and a Surname derived from an Italian word. Why the Albanians have a Greek/Italian as a national hero? You are also missing the point that at the time that these songs were written the differentiating factor was religion hence if you become a muslim you became a "Turk" this did not change anything with your interaction with the Christians you still played the same music, had the same food etc. For this reason you can have songs like Osman Takas, Menousis etc that talk about situations that both Christians/Greeks/Albanians and Muslims"Turks"/Albanians faced. Hence when you say that e.g. Osman Takas is Albanian song what you really say is that the song talks about a Christian that became Muslim but still Christians both Greeks and Albanians admire him.

Η μουσική φίλε μου δεν έχει τόπο δεν έχει πατρίδα και ειδικά τα παραδοσιακά τραγούδια οπως το συγκεκριμένο. Τι σημασία έχει που ακούστηκε πρώτη φορά. Μακάρι και οι απογονοί μας Ηπειρώτες - Βορειοηπειρώτες - Έλληνες - Αλβανοί να ακούνε και να αγαπάνε αυτά τα τραγούδια όπως τα αγαπήσαμε εμείς.
