This is afterlife for them. When at 1:30 they try to be clicked in a photograph but the photograph shows them being invisible. It shows that they are spirits without the bodies. Then when Laila feeds Majnu something green in spatula, he tastes and reacts as it tastes weird just to tease her. But she laughs as she knows they no longer have senses (to taste, feel temperature or smell). Then they say "na yahan dikhava hai, na yahan duniyaawi jazbaat hain" Yes, it is a sweet sweet afterlife. Oh my! ❤ Such a genius who thought of this.

When I suggested this movie to my closed ones. Some of them were literally amazed and were in shock to see such a masterpiece. They couldn't stop their tears; however, some of them said " Majnu pagal hogya and dukhi hokr Laila bhi mar gyi". And it was the most shallow summary I have ever got for this movie. Trust me guys, this movie is Way ahead of its time. The concept is just astonishing. This movie is not a love story. It's a spiritual journey of a guy who is, purely, in love with a girl. And when both of them seperate, he gets diagnosed with clinical depression because the seperation for him is traumatic. Through depression, he walks on his spiritual journey. When the pain pierces his whole heart deeply, and waiting seems like a hopelessness, he creates everything in his mind. He stops waiting and becomes happy with his imagination. His love transcends over the time and emerge as a love for God and everything in the universe as he starts to see Laila in everything. For him, everything starts making sense because everywhere is Laila whether in leaves or mountains. His love for Laila brings god to him. And Laila doesn't die because she is sad for majnu or something. She knows that Majnu has found god and there is no way to go back that's why she decides to end her life. In the end she says " kuch kharab nhi hua hai bss vo mjhse aage nikal gya hai". Because she knows that her physical body is of no use to her and Majnu. And they can only meet in heaven now. Therefore, she kills herself. In the end, oo meri Laila song says " yha pe bhi tu huro se jayada haseen, yaani dono jahano mei tumsa nhi ". And it makes so much sense now. Trust me, in deep love, this happens. Only intelligent or emotional people can go beyond their minds and can find god.

I'll admit it, I was part of the crowd that were dismissive of the film when its promotions began (thought it was 'just another love tragedy' made to launch two new actors); heck, didn't even bother to do any fair research despite knowing the film was supported/presented by one of my favs (Imtiaz Ali sir). But, this song had been coming up in my Spotify Shuffle for quite a few months now, and every time I listened, I found myself being absolutely enamored by its production & lyricism, so decided to watch its official MV this morning, and HOLY CRAP am I BLOWN!! The reason I'm replying to your comment is because I caught hints of everything you said throughout the video and then the outro part kinda made me theorize a little more. In the outro wallpaper thing, the guy has a full-fledged beard while the girl looks eternally youthful & effervescent. I was like, "Okay, so... does the girl die and the guy loses it, and does this whole song kind of encapsulate that? What's going on??" And your comment just solidified everything for me. Gonna be watching this film soon now (googled & found out it's available on Zee5). Thank you!

If you haven't watched the movie then maybe this song will seem like a regular, upbeat song to u; but if u have watched the movie then each and every line of this song will remind you of kaes's pain and longing for laila, all that he did and all that he lost for her, how he died in longing and how even though their love is completed in a way; it was still incomplete as they couldn't be together and died in each other's longing. The makers really played a trick on us by making such a happy song with such deep melancholy and sad theme

I was searching through the comments for the reason if someone else noticed it and there are many more thing like the home qaiss made, in the song they are staying there and just roaming around in the wilderness of Kashmir like they always said (pahad ke uss paar) and how qaiss started hallucinations about laila raoming in the forest. i love this movie. well acted by both of them ❤️❤️❤️ i have read laila majnu many times, in three languages. my grandmother has collections of laila majnu, shiri ferhad etc. the movie is not based on actual story, rather it is focused on same love story but in modern relationship style. few dialogues from the main book, i love the most, was in this movie. i would rate it 8.5/10

Initially film ka title sun ke laga tha ki hogi koi wahi purani melodramatic love story types..... But man it just changed my perception, it wud had been my loss if I didn't watch it ❤....
