I am not experienced enough to comment on that performance . I mean by that the technical excellence. I can say however, as a novice, that, late in life, I have found music and and a performances that defies description. If there exists a superlative greater than "Brilliant" then it would be applied to what I have just watched. I understand now how one can be moved by excellence . Astounding.

Its wonderful to observe a conductor who is willing to follow the singers tempo and lead the orchestra to "jump" to the right place when the tempo is too slow like Freni purposfully marked here. She was was wonderful in technique and expression with a good connection to her chest voice. A rare voice indeed !
