1. O sacred Head, now wounded,
With grief and shame weighed down,
Now scornfully surrounded
With thorns, Thine only crown;
How pale Thou art with anguish,

2. What Thou, my Lord, hast suffered
Was all for sinners’ gain:

I am writing from the UK. This has to go down as one of the finest renditions of this hymn. Some of us have been somewhat guilty of concentrating on Praise Songs in the modern era, Concentrating our attention back to the Psalms and the Cross of Christ again has been very inspirational. Appreciate these Hymns so much. Just full of rich theology and truths. And the singing is just simple and plain and not a performance that distracts from the reason for the singing, which forever is 'The Praise of His Glory'.
