Thank you for sharing your experiences, one thing you have not mention about is the weather, being Chinese and moved to Sydney since 1981, I enjoy living in a much warmer climate and longer day light particularly in Summer time, the inflation surely push the living cost up a lot, but also the average income up a lot too, so compare between Canada and Australia, all depend on which region, city or town to live in, but I am glad that I made a right decision between Australia or Canada 🙂
I lived in Australia around 2007. I am living in Alberta, Canada now. However, I like both countries but I like Canada more especially the free health care. In Australia, the employers do not provide the health insurance While Canadian employers provide the insurance. You need to buy the health insurance in Australia if you want to see the dentists. But Australian salaries are higher than Canada's. Also the companies in Australia will contribute superannuation at least 10 % when I worked in Australia while Canadian employers usually provide 3- 4 % or none contribution if you match your pension with 3-4%. It will depend what you want. In Alberta, the hospital visits are free. There is one drawback for new immigrants in Canada is to find a new without a Canadian experience. In Canada, its really not easy to find a job in your field especially you do not have a local degree or Canadian experience. I never have an issue to find a job in Australia as an new immigrant but in Canada.

Australian has a free Medicare card which entitles you for free hospitalization and GP services, it doesn't provide you with a dentist service though.
@@j.tuscany1063 In Australia usually give a few dollars, but you don't have to. The waiters are paid a good wage
