this was a great show. It reminded me of the mid to late 1980's my high school years and my early college years. the 80's ended when this show ended.

The cute puppy dog look when she pulls the sheet off of him (which we ladies appreciate 😉) and the "forget about it. I'll just call my pimp. He'll pick me up on the corner" (along with another sweetie pie smile then) makes this entire scene one of the best Moonlighting scenes ever. He even offered to make coffee in an effort toward normalcy but she decided instead to push him away. He loves her and, the crazy thing is, she actually does love him too. She's just terrified by it because it's not the boring "safe" and "organized" kind of love she's imagined for herself. But, in fact, in every single way, David's arms will always be the safest most exciting and loving place she could ever be.

I love this show soooo much, but, it’s times like this I think Maddie is TOO weird for words!!! OMG!! Poor David!!!! And she does love him, but she’s way freaking mixed up, or afraid or something!!! He’s soooo adorable!!! What’s her flipping problem!!! She won’t even drive him home?!?! Call my pimp!!! Lol. 😢

I so agree. How can she just get up and take a shower with Bruce laying there beside her? Come on, lady! Beg for seconds, thirds! Jeez!

She was so ambivlent about sleeping with him in this scene, it made me sick. However if I woke up next to Burce, I would have been like "YIPEE!!! Seconds please!"

gokusgirl72 they wrote such crap stuff for Maddie as the show went on.

@@louiseannatfreeyourspirit They made Maddie so unreasonable. David did almost everything right. He was great and was ready to commit but it was never enough for her. I hate the writers for turning Maddie into an unsure selfish crazy woman. The Maddie we knew would never marry a complete stranger. Remember what she thought of MacGillicudy's sudden marriage? Her marriage was even more sudden than his. I can sort of understand her doubt about David's commitment long term, but then how can she thinks a marriage to a stranger would be less doubtful? It made absolutely no sense, she was completely irrational. People always mention the Moonlighting curse in reference to the loss of interest once a duo get involved romantically, but I find that label kind of unfair because the Moonlighting producers and writers didn't even give David and Maddie a chance to work. As soon as they hook up, the writers did everything to destroy the couple.

@@canuck21Couldn’t agree more. The writers took Maddie’s reticence to the nth degree and it made her insufferable and killed everything that made the dynamic between them great. They could have found another way around Cybill’s pregnancy. All those scenes she did with Maddie’s parents in Chicago could have been done with David and the others.
