The Goblin Shark mostly feeds on fish, mollusks and crab, and it poses no real danger to humans. It lives in very deep water, far from humans, and it is thought to be a poor swimmer and have bad eyesight. The odd-looking jaw of the Goblin Shark can expand forward to sweep up prey that passes by. Because the shark is slow and clumsy, it can’t rely on hunting down prey, but instead waits for the prey to come near. When the prey is near enough, it snaps its jaw forward to grab it. I am pretty certain this a custom island where someone added in the Goblin Shark. In the actual generated zones, the Goblin Shark normally only appears in Deep Sea Biomes at night.

Just got the ps4 plus version and im a bit addicted even if i have a crippling fear of dark deep water. I haven't fought the bosses, tiger, great white, or the whale sharks. But i think the goblin shark is the most annoying shark and the fucker circles around through the ground and pulls me out to sea.

Goblin Sharks are amazing creatures and actually very cute in real life, the jaws only come out when attacking. They are very rarely seen due to living in deep water (not coasts) and do not attack unless provoked. I love the fact the game included them as there isn't a lot of info on Goblin Sharks. Its just too bad the game doesn't represent any base of reality in these creatures

Whale sharks are not aggressive IRL,. In game they aren't aggressive unless you get all stabby with them, then they will try to flip your raft.

Inspector Steve Think it might be, I stumbled across his channel looking for shark-hunting tips. I still have my main base on the first island but I’m thinking I’ll move out soon after seeing this. Just a shame you can’t move the equipment (water distiller etc.) with you.

@@ryansweet3640 you can disassemble it with a hatchet. You will get half of what you put in. So if you used 4 sticks and 1 cloth you will get back 2 sticks and 1 cloth.

@@ryansweet3640 yes. Any time you use only 1 type of item to make something the game can't split that in half so you will get that 1 item back. As far as I know it works for tarps, rope, leather cord, and sticks. If you made a hobo stove you won't get the barrel back since you technically cut it in half to make the stove.
