Why not create a tunnel going from the basement of the castle that comes out on the wooden walkway of the dock?

Havent seen a Mod that alters that by now. Imagine the crazy underground Bases People would build.The only Way to do something close is to dug under multiple Rocks and Copperdeposits that are directly next to each other.

@@fuchsmichael93 There are mods that lets you place rocks in the game (think it even might be valheim+) so it would be possible to make a tunnel by digging a canal and filling in the roof with rocks. But you wouldnt be able to have grass above it afaik.

You could probably get close buy building over the top of the "tunnel." It is basically a hallway at that point.

Maybe the wooden pier in the middle could lead into some sort of temporary or bulk storage in the wall there. It would break up the flat wall you have with some detail and purpose, and maybe that room connects to the rest of the castle or another building "underground". although im sure youd have to get creative with the terrain and building.

I know you have your own set of rules, and I appreciate how well you stick to them, as long as you don't burn yourself out. I eagerly await every new episode just to see what will happen next. My personal hope is this series never ends. With that in mind, I would suggest taking note on what is grindy or boring to you and try to find ways to eliminate them. That would be very interesting to see! I love chiseling in Vintage Story and modded Minecraft. It would be a fantastic mod for Valheim if someone could figure it out. You could make a mod with new models for corner stairs, but that wouldn't be as popular IMO. Thanks for all the hard work in reducing the grindy bits and making great content! I have shared your channel and my favorite videos with everyone I think would enjoy it and have heard good things back from those I queried!

So, in a REAL medieval area such as this, that area where you have the "Sunset Couch" would be a Cannon or a catapult or something to protect the island from pirates or enemy Warships and raiding parties......... Maybe some towers or walls or something around the perimeter of the island would be nice? I live in Florida and the entire coast is old Spanish Forts you can Google what they looked like, Fort Desoto is near me - theres also one in St Augustine and a big one in Puerto Rico.......

the back wall of the docks could be dug out and stone archways placed so theres a walkway/storage space. could dig it out enough that theres space for the smelter and a few other blacksmithing items (and maybe it could lead into a dungeon). would be pretty fitting given the terrain especially if it connect to the main boardwalk with the stairs placed further from the dock wall. would really clean up the jagged look of the stairs as they come down beside the larger of the two ships.

Take a look at the Balrond mods. There's a mod for barrels to put on your dock. There's a mod for a trough that you can use to auto feed your animals and it looks better than just a chest in front of them. The Ice and Moss Builds mods also add some nice pieces to your inventory and you mentioned you were looking for more build pieces. I think the Metal Shelf and Ore Basket mods will also add a nice touch to your forge that you've been thinking about. Your island base is amazing! It looks fantastic!

I would go with a serpent trophy instead of the banners, not so bland and it is big enough to stand out. You should build some sort of staircase to access the middle dock, now you have to jump to it so it is a bit unrealistic... Looking at it at the beginning I would have gone with a parapet going over the the dock shielding it completely, you could still get the seating area on a balcony there and it would definately look more "royal" having it roofed but this looks very neat although needs detailing (some clutter, barrels, tropies/banners), love it!

looks great, behind the small boat where you wanna expand the floor, maybe an open doorway could be built against the wall, that runs underneath the ground to a save place or something, royals like such immediate secrecy hallways after they dock :)

I hope when your finished with this playthrough (I am not wishing it ends anytime soon) you add a 'Collection' to the Nexus with your special curated mod set-up for easy downloads/installs. I have been having a blast using 'Collections' for Fallout games and other Bethesda titles. Be nice to have a go-to collection for Valheim too.

You might want to have a little tree garden on the island as well as a couple of ballistas (you know how to design those for sure). Additionally I'd rather build the docks with like 0.5m spacing to the sides and pointy edge to fit in. You should also add some stairs into the water to get out easily in case of emergency.

I've had 3 drake events (maybe 4) havent killed modor yet. I was actively farming silver at the time. Imo, kill at least 2 drakes (maybe 3 just cuz) then go hang out on a workbench. I say, within 5 min a drake event will trigger (probly maybe) 🤔

Any chance the main building of the Castle/Keep is going to be a wooden viking longhouse? Would look cool and be historically correct - especially if you mount an inverted longboat on top. But maybe you don't have space for that? Otherwise, the place that you say rhymes with "reys" could be an outdoor garden area with trees, a pavillon, a hot tub, and other stuff for the royals. :P

You should discable the decay of your wood in the Valheim + config. Saw it on your dock and would look a lot better. As an option, you can also enable aoe repair in a specific radius if you like to repair it after rainstorms :D. But overall super satisfying episode! Love it.

I have a suggestion for a mod it's called missing pieces it's very new but has some bits I wish vanilla had like 1m wide stairs. And roofs for gables also has a lader that you don't bounce up and down on. Ok n and the stone corner staircase you were wishing for is also in this set.

a mod i would really like to see is a simple one, remove the yellow point indicator, ive no idea why its even in the game, we have a crosshair in the middle of the screen already and it only gets in the way when you're trying to do decorative builds ( was reminded of it when you were trying to put the Item drawer in one of the corners ) if any1 know of a mod that does this please let me know :)

build a bridge to a fort/tower to the extra (not the lighthouse) island as a palace/fortress for the king. This way the bridge is the only passage to that island

Have you had any issues with the OdinShip mod when sailing? We are using a different mod that we'll likely be switching to.. but what keeps happening is our boat runs into invisible walls in mid ocean sailing.. we have no idea what it is. The mod is called Shipyard by cookiemilk. We love the upgrades and schematics that can be unlocked.. but it's some weird issue that keeps happening and its beginning to annoy the crap out of us lol
