I was today years old when I realized you guys had a KZbin channel. I’m a podcast guy first and foremost, but this is still very cool. Thanks to you both.

Not calling this game "Dress Up Druids" seems like a missed opportunity.

I just got Oak for 40% of its Msrp, it seems it just wasn't a hit here since the shop gave such a huge duscount. But I do trust your review 🙂

What are average in-game scores like in Oak? If it's a tight, lower-scoring game, the 5:1 ratio on the left branch initially looks good as "points for nothing" but it seems like the other branches might have higher scoring possibilities if you're willing to put in the effort? It also feels like, since you score that condition *immediately*, racing for that top left branch is probably going to yield pretty limited return on investment to whoever takes it whereas the others might be much more rewarding for would-be specialists.

Having now played the game, I think the 5:1 is interesting and a wise inclusion. If you run a druid to near the top and leave them there while aiming to maximise other areas, the ability to just move them once for say 8 points, in round 5 seems very appealing. However, if everyone starts pursuing this, then perhaps one player will jump the gun and score it in an earlier round, leaving everyone else to either desperately get in before the round ends, or be locked out permanently. All the tracks have this, but because everyone can't do everything, there are some tracks you might find yourself free to climb uncontested. The points track should always be contested, which I think creates a nice extra point of intereaction/tension between players outside of the core worker placement.
