Thank you for this video. My house was built from locally sourced oak in 1910, consisting mainly of 6”x4” beams, 8”x2” joists and 12”x1” planks. Refurbished and modernized in the late 1970s, leaving all of the oak elements in place, it has withstood 80-90 mph straight line winds and many swirling, subtornadic winds of unknown wind speeds. Sitting in the upstairs study, I can feel the house moving in such winds while creaking and groaning like an oak ship riding on high seas. I now have an even deeper appreciation of this oaken abode thanks to this documentary.
