I'm in love with your channel. You're so sweet and caring. I worked in the entertainment industry for five years (as a Stage Manager) and I share your opinions on love and dating. I met my husband when I was heavier as well and then I lost a lot of weight and suddenly some of the actors and models I worked with became interested in me and I thought of them as shallow and I never cared for their attention. I mean, I was friendly to everyone and some friendships developed but I was never interested in anyone romantically because I had my husband at home and it is him whom I loved and that was that :-) Also, like you said, when working in the entertainment industry everything at work is pretty much a fairytale and it's easy to get kind of sucked in by everything-

haha I can think of one Aladdin who most of the Jasmines didn't care for, he was eventually fired if I'm not mistaken. Those were long days when cast opposite him but it was rare I ever worked with him. Maybe 2x.

+Jennifer Oakes Inspired by a random "disney princess relations" link in my youtube, I recently finished a pretty big story, bringing together a bunch of disney princesses and princes for a common purpose. Part of that was researching them, discovering possible family connections, etc. and I just fell in love all over again with so many princesses. :) Elsa, Anna, and Merida (especially Merida), are far above all the others for me now, with their spirit and courage. There was one lady whom was a face character of Merida in Disneyland in california that looks EXACTLY LIKE HER! I actually started to fall for her, I think. (sigh) I'd give everything I have in the world to find a woman with such a good heart.

After being social media obsessed over the disney cast members, I couldn't help but notice the relationships.. From the famous Andrew and Hali Ducote, there's more Peter Pan x Wendy couples, it seems! As for the cast members, haha, I probably would have been too back in my day. lol. I don't know who Andrew and Hali are but they sound fun! lol I don't know that anyone could've held themselves back, I had good reason to do so though! lol but everyone else, forget about it.. there was a Jasmine and Aladdin couple at one point, a Jasmine dating a manager, there was an Ariel married to one of my genies, a Jasmine who dated a Prince charming, I could go on and on and on.. an Aladdin dating an Ariel.. and again, I could go on. Like I said, whenever there's a ton of attractive people in an environment like that, forget about it. lol, plus most people were single. so . yeah. lololol. My husband thought the whole entertainment thing was a bit ridiculous. lol. He's an accountant. He's not into performing or anything like that, he hates being in front of an audience and generally doesn't like all the attention that characters can bring upon themselves. lol. We're opposites that way, I suppose opposites attract as they say. We have our opposites and we have our similarities.. so I guess we're balanced?! lol. no sure, but I think he understands the whole situation as far as in the character world of dating.. I'm sure if he had worked there and a Belle was asking him out on a date he'd of been over the moon blushing and would have asked her out assuming he knew she would accept.. he's the type that would have gotten to know the girl first, I believe.. I don't think he would have just dated a beautiful princess just because she asked him out, he's just not that way.. I think he would have been happy getting to know her first.. and then dated her. His favorite princess is Belle but he always told me he thought the Jasmine cartoon was pretty. (I don't think any Disney princess is unattractive, after all, lol). But I often ask my husband where he'd of worked had he lived closer to Disney when it came time for him to get a job (he's an accountant now, but for five years he worked at McDonald's while going to school).. so I ask him if he'd of chosen to work in the theme park food service also?? he says maybe but he just can't envision himself having chosen to work at Disney.. he's a Scuba diver and he is very big into that.. very much so. I think his dream Disney job would've been working at the living seas doing that one Scuba Diver job they have there.. or working with the marine life over there, or else working at SeaWorld with the marine animals.. he loves the ocean and that type of environment. So he'd of had very little contact with any Disney princesses.. I'm glad he found me though. :)

Hey! I don't think we had a video camera unfortunately! We didn't have smart phones back then either, boo! Lol No instagram, KZbin was just barely getting started, don't think I'd even heard of KZbin until after I wasn't in entertainment.. We had to scan our costume in and out daily from Disney wardrobe, they were very strict about that sort of thing. We were required to wash off any makeup or anything related to our character before leaving Disneyword so we wouldn't spoil the magic at the supermarket after or something, Lol. Sometimes I see cast members after work shopping, Lol, but entertainment was a bit more strict with costumes than other departments. 😊

hey I have a question dealing with giving gifts. we recently took a trip and felt it necessary to give a gift to our daughters first loved princess(Ariel). So we gave the friend of Ariel and home made decorated sea shell from our north Carolina coast so will she get to keep it and if we want to make homemade trinkets for when we go during Christmas time can they keep it? ( like a homemade keychain charm) cause we really appreciate all that the friends of characters do. Could you be a Disney princess if you're hard of hearing (have hearing aids, can speak well, read lips, and sign)? I'm 16 going on 17 soon and I'm thinking about maybe taking on a summer job at Disneyland a few years from now. What are the requirements for being a princess/actress there? I have russet-brown hair and blue eyes (well they change color to green and grey so hazel) and I'm 5 7. If I were to apply for acting, what would I be looking at?

I'm bilingual (ASL and English), and I have many skills that I think if Disney wanted to add in to their shows would be fun- like for example I can ride horses and shoot bow and arrows, I'm an artist, I'm captain of my V cheer team and also occasional mascot, and I can act. The only downside is that I'm hard of hearing. I can read lips and talk with a slight accent (people tell me I sound a bit English), and with hearing aids I can hear most if not everything. If you could add your insight that would be amazing. Thanks!:)

You can choose who you want to play as, but I do know that you have to be a certain size to be Alice, Wendy, and the Faries, and a different height range to be the Princesses. So yes, you choose who you want to be but if you are very short, you would most likely just have to settle to being a non-princess character.

What method of weight loss did you use? And how fast did it take to loose it?:)

I often attribute my weight loss to my husband, he made me feel beautiful when I hated how fat I was. I often complained and he told me, "No more complaining about your weight, I'm going to love you regardless of your weight no matter how fat you get. You always complain how stuffed you are after you eat, why not try not stuffing yourself? stop when you're satisfied, before you feel stuffed. save the left overs for later." When he said that, something snapped. I'd never met anyone who loved me regardless of my weight. I'd always judged myself. Compared myself, etc. We got engaged, it was that year and a half before getting married that the weight "naturally " came off, no special diets or exercise programs, but I wasn't into food as much, I was happy in love, I would go out all the time with him and for the first time in a long time enjoyed life, saw myself, what I had going for me, I was going to college and had a bright future, food no longer had the power it had once had over me. I realized there was more to life. I wish I could say I never struggled with food again but that's another story,Lol. That's how I lost weight before jasmine. Before I knew it I'd lost weight and realized I needed new, smaller sized clothes, saw the princess jasmine character at Disney and I thought, something I never imagined in the past, "I can fit in her pants.. if I could fit in her pants, there's hope I can do that job.." and the dream came true.

Hope Dandrea When I worked at Disney they did make the girls wear the same color eye contacts as the cartoon, however the last few times I've been at Disneyworld I've noticed the girls aren't wearing their colored contacts, so I'm not sure why that happens.. if it's because cosmetology ran out of the colored contacts or if the girls playing the princesses are allergic/sensitive to the colored contacts or if management has become soft on that issue.. it's hard to say! but when I worked there they were strict about it. xo

I have heard the phrase, "Don't date Disney." Is it discouraged by supervisors and other workers to date Disney coworkers?

Oh Wow, I never heard that one! I know that a lot of families in Orlando have 1, if not two working parents who work in Disney, but on the other hand, the company is so large they very often don't work in the same department. Disney is the state's largest employer after all. I think they employ over 50k! I don't know about dating bosses or supervisors, that I can see being discouraged. But cast members frequently were in relationships with each other. :) I can think of others not mentioned in the video, especially if you get to know the older folks working for Disney who have been there for years, you'll hear a lot of neat stories. :)

in fact, I remember a married couple who were hired into college program, one was Goofy /genie height and his wife was Ariel. Her husband often was the genie with the Aladdin and I.

Stephanie M here's what I wrote someone about my weight loss below: "I often attribute my weight loss to my husband, he made me feel beautiful when I hated how fat I was/felt. I often complained and he told me, "No more complaining about your weight, I'm going to love you regardless of your weight no matter how fat you get. You always complain how stuffed you are after you eat, why not try not stuffing yourself? stop when you're satisfied, before you feel stuffed. save the left overs for later." When he said that, something snapped. I'd never met anyone who loved me regardless of my weight. I'd always judged myself, compared myself to other girls/celebrities, etc. After we got engaged, it was that year and a half before getting married that the weight "naturally " came off, no special diets or exercise programs, but I wasn't into food as much, I was happy in love, I would go out all the time with him and for the first time in a long time enjoyed life, saw myself, what I had going for me, I was going to college and had a bright future, food no longer had the power it had once had over me. I realized there was more to life than food. I wish I could say I never struggled with food again but that's another story,Lol. That's how I lost weight before getting hired to portray jasmine. Before I knew it I'd lost weight and realized I needed new, smaller sized clothes, having an annual pass to Disneyworld, I saw the princess jasmine character at Disney and I thought, something I never imagined in the past, "I can fit in her pants.. if I could fit in her pants, there's hope I can do that job.." and the dream came true."

mebluewater Thank you! lol. I'm glad you think my husband is lucky, I will have to tell him someone said that! lol. I like to think he feels the same! I am the lucky one with him though, he's my better half. I wish I was more like him in many ways. As for Sept. 2, we shall see?!
