This is Amazing fam. Being from NY we only saw the moves on Soul Train, and maybe a few video clips back in the late 70's early 80's if we were lucky. All I remember was the Robot at that age and I think I was 5. BBoying was just uprocking then. Im glad I got to see this cause I love to dance although my body doesn't move the same at age 50 I can still groove a little bit. Love Yu Guys for this Brotha.

Some of these concepts have already been forgotten. They are so cool :D The authenticity in this is amazing :D They didn't even do boogaloo rolls, they did hopping :D Nice, so boogaloo is just whatever you feel and create. I knew it :D There are no rules in dance otherwise it loses its purpose which is being free. EB's added rules like you gotta learn twist o flex, ticking, blah, blah whatever man. Still, Respect to the EB's for making this style known though. Big RESPECT!
@MJ-rs7js2 жыл бұрын
Although EB took the foundation and did a big job that was widely known around the world, there was no popping competition in the mid to late 90s and there was no stage for poppers to come out. Very few poppers were part of the B-boy crew and were at the level of popping out from time to time. To change that, the role of creating a new area of popping by creating the title funk style dance and opening a popping battle for the first time in a B-boy competition should also be commemorated historically.

Whats funny is, at the same time BBoying/Hiphop was brewing in NY from Funk culture, we had the Robot, Lockin, Boogaloo and pop lockin brewing in California also from funk culture. People don’t give Funk enough credit for birthing so many sub cultures.

And because of the word "boogaloo", I think and say the same thing, but EB's "boogaloo" and foundation movements are completely different, and the groove system is different. (Groove is basically different from city to city)
@MJ-rs7js2 жыл бұрын
There is a lot of talk about boogaloo, but there is no talk about popping Banging and popping are different, and the concept of hitting later and popping are technically different. Hitting is a similar but slightly different concept to pop, and popping is a concept of how to dance with pop. And according to the information, Sam was the first to pop.
