I own 3 pairs of these sunglasses. Plainly put, I LOVE them. In my own opinion, they're the best frame that Oakley has ever made to date. They bring the best of all worlds together. They're a wrap style frame that sit SO perfectly on your face. Because they're a wrap, they eliminate ANY side or rear glare or reflection. They are undeniably comfortable and whether you're a polarized sunglasses person or not, the 100% UV filtering of Oakley's High Definition Optics® (HDO®) and Prizm™ technology will make you want to wear these sunglasses at every moment when you're outside... Maybe even when you're inside too. Many of us get a little heavier when we hit our 40s and the size of your head, or at least your face, gets larger, and the shades you were wearing just a few years ago suddenly look WAY too small on your newly discovered fat mug. Even if you haven't gone and put on an extra 25lbs like I have these last 12 months in quarantine, these frames will at least help you look like you haven't... In your face anyway. It seems as though I have rediscovered my love of bread and pastry. And, if you have kept your weight in check for the most part, these sunglasses will never give you that oversized, "WAY TOO BIG", look when you're wearing them. They're a fantastic pair of sunglasses and I hope that Oakley never stops making them.

For anyone looking for an XL frame from Oakley, this one is it. I see that it is advertised as a 142mm width frame, but I can assure you it fits much more like a 148-150. I am very picky with my frames, and have tested many of the popular ones from Costa and Oakley, and these fit my huge noggin absolutely perfect. In case of getting an Oakley pair of sunglasses (originally not Rx) how does it work ? Does it mean that we're getting the same Oakley's lenses (not frame only) with added treatments to get them Rx ? or Does it mean that they're taking the original Oakley's lenses off, and replacing them with other brands that can be Rx treated ?

Great question. Oakley will take a new lens and customize it to the features you request. You can't take an existing lens and add a prescription to it. The lab will first start by putting the prescription in the lens and add the features (polarization, mirror coating, anti scratch, etc.) during the production process. Oakley uses their own Authentic lenses but you can also get SportRx branded lenses that will fit in most Oakley frames.

@@sportrxeyewear I would def be getting prescription- I’ve seen other sight w/ the yellow (driving lenses) that get darker (transition) with the sunlight but need or prefer the yellow at night -(motorcycle) . Is that an option or is it just clear to black?

@@MrBiggie7979 That’s a great question! What you’re looking for, it sounds like, is a Transitions lens with a yellow base tint. Essentially, it will be that yellow color in its non-activated state and will build on that when activated. That is something that we can do, but you’ll need to contact our opticians directly for that. There may be a Sport Optimized lens that works perfectly for you! If phone works better for you, you can get a friendly, knowledgeable optician at 877-789-3633

The Double Edge is BIG! It should fit similarly to the Eyepatch and Eyepatch 2. Other options that are similarly large frames are the Turbine and Turbine Rotor (non-Rx'able)

Hi Glenn! This sunglass is designed for medium to large faces. The bridge is about 17 mm. Standard sunglass are around 15-17mm so they should work out for you. Another nice feature is the Unobtanium grip on the nosepads. This will help keep the sunglasses in place on your face. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

Batwolfs fit me good. Would u say double edges are a lot bigger or close to the batwolf

The hinge to hinge measurement on the Batwolf is about 10-15 mm narrower than the Double Edge but the temples bow out on the sides of your face. The temples on The Double Edge are straight back and have little to no curve to them. Hope this helps!

It is very comparable. You would be hard-pressed to find any noticeable difference in peripheral vision coverage between the two!

Hi Guys, just bought a pair of these and plan on taking them to Kaiser as I am a member of Kaiser insurance and have an allotted $150 towards Rx Lenses. Do you think Kaiser will give me a hard time or deny that they can put Rx lenses in these Oakley's?

Hey CB! The Dispatch 1 and Double Edge are both larger sized sunglasses. The fit is the same and arm design is similar. The biggest difference is the Dispatch has a more aviator style to it and it was part of Oakley Lifestyle collection. The Double Edge has a more wrap around design to the frame.
