Awesome lens, I got rid of my sapphire iridium lenses in my turbines and bought these DWP lenses, popped them in and holy crap!!!!! Love looking through them.......at the beach, waterpark, driving, hiking.......doesn't matter!!!!! Gorgeous lens to look through!!!

These are great on the water on really bright days. I work for a ferry company on Lake Champlain. It's great for the brutal glare but any where else(driving, backyard, etc) it sucks which is too bad because this is the nicest Oakley lens out now to look AT imo. The contrast on these for driving and just hanging out in the yard even on really bright days is BAD. Great blue color but not to flashy. Really sharp to look at but man if you're not in extremely bright light on the water these suck. Go for a prizm daily, tungsten, Emerald... I get it, it's not made for daily use, was just hoping it wouldn't be so bad off the boat but it is. Not mad at Oakley either literally at all. These do what they're designed to do and that's all you can ask for.

Hi, that's pretty much all in a nutshell 🙂 I bought the holbrook xl deep water h20 polarised in the woodgrain frame and they look absolutely beautiful until I get out of the store and put them on walking home... your right, they aren't very good walking down the street, daily life. What really puts me off is the rose tint when you look through them. To me everything looks quite dull and has a slight darkness to it. I won't be using these AT ALL for water, fishing etc I was just drawn to how beautiful the contrast of the lenses look with the woodgrain frame. So now I have to decide on one hand I have these stunning sharp looking sunniest but when I wear them, they look quite bad. So I need to decide what to do. Buy I agree on your comment 🙃

Hello there! They are best suited for water based activities but they will work for driving as well. Any polarized lens has a polarized filter on the glasses will inhibit the polarized filter common on LCD screens or displays. Hi! For dry, hot, desert landscapes opt for a polarized grey or green lens. For lush, green environments consider a polarized bronze/copper or rose. This is not set in stone though as many truckers will still use a bronze or Rose base lens for desert landscapes for added contrast enhancement. Consider the Prizm Deep Water, Road Black, Tungsten, Ruby, Road Jade, and Sapphire as suitable options for truckers. Hope this helps!

Good question! Personal preference aside, you may get more benefit from the Sapphire Polarized's grey base tint over the DWPs rose base for sunny Texas conditions. Both offer the same level of protection and rate of transmission, but the Sapphire pairs better with the landscape and terrain of Texas, in my opinion.

Hello Sam! Oakley refers to that as the Integrated Retainer System. It is a 20" coated woven steel leash that comes standard with the Split shot but is removable. This one is specific to the Split Shot for seamless frame integration. Thanks for reaching out!

I think that all depends on what you are using your sunglasses for. If you are using them on the water then PRIZM Deep Water is best, in fact it even works well as an everyday lens too and I might not say it is better than PRIZM Black for everyday use but it is just different. PRIZM Deep Water features a rose base for increased contrast and PRIZM Black has a grey base which makes it slightly darker overall.
