I know its 5 years later but I own these sunglasses with my prescription lenses. When I initially bought them several years ago the wrap around lens caused a slight variation in the focal point which made me hesitate to use them for softball which is why I bought them in the first place. However the fit of these is fantastic for my somewhat wide head. They were great for everything but softball. Fast forward to a few months ago and my prescription changed so I had SportRx update the lenses with my new prescription. I don't know what Oakley did to enhance its prescription process but when I received the updated sunglasses they were perfect. Much better than the original and I can now wear them for softball. I also applied the stem socks used on Oakley's Radar Path on the SplitShot's to keep them in place on my head when sweating in the Florida heat. SportRx was great as they updated me on the status of the my order and even called me to let me know there was a one week delay due to Oakley being slammed with customers. Great experience but also not my first great experience with SportRx.

Hello! We have a blog that explains some of those differences here: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-prizm-prescription-lenses/. The main benefit of a polarized lens is to reduce glare. The HD polarized lenses are made as a pair to guarantee that the axis of polarization is aligned. Other brand's lenses make the lenses at separate times and therefore the axis may be off which will let more glare in through the lens. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

I just received mine after watching this video and having my Holbrooks fall into the water last week. Ugh! I am a 5'8" woman with an average sized head and these fit absolutely perfect. I can't believe how excited I am about these. It's been so hard to find sunglasses that fit me for fishing and allow me to wear a curved hat. My Holbrooks had the deep water prizm's so I had to get that again because they're perfect while fishing Lake Huron and St. Clair. But they didn't fit that great and were uncomfortable when fishing after long hours especially during tournaments. I'm a fan of Costa lenses but the prizm's are just so crystal clear and allow me to see deep, especially on St. Clair. Anyway, I am just so amazed at how well the Split Shot fits and feels. Thanks for the video. Props! Took a shot in the dark buying these $200+ babies but well worth it. 😉😎

Hi Jeff! I think they can definitely be used at EDC because they provide tons of coverage plus grip! You can swap lenses just as you would with the fives squared. This model has a saddle nosebridge witch creates a more even and comfortable fit around your nose.

Hello Matt! Oakley typically sticks to O Matter frame material for any sport frame since it is both lightweight and durable. We have not heard anything about a metal version coming out but I guess we will have to wait to see what frames they drop next!

Hi Trent! Generally we do not recommend a polarized lens for golf since it has been known to affect depth perception. Hi there! The only way you will have fogging issues is if the fit is too close to your face. As for lenses, the PRIZM Shallow Water work great for streams and rivers but if you are fishing in a deep lake then the PRIZM Deep Water is the best option!

Hello Ellis! If you are looking for a sunglass, something that has a lot of wrap is ideal. This will protect your eyes from the wind and keep sun from getting in on the sides. The Split Shot and Turbine both have a decent amount of wrap/curvature to them. One benefit to the Turbine is that it has Unobtanium, no-slip grip on the nosepads and temples whereas the Split Shot just has grip on the nosepads. Oakley leashes are also available. Hello! These will protect your eyes from the sun but it is never recommended to look directly at the sun even with sunglasses on. The iridium coating on the lens does hide your eyes when the sun is out and the wraparound style of the Split Shot does an excellent job of giving you the coverage you need on windy days. Perhaps...You can always detach the leash. It is super quick and easy to do. That way you can put the glasses in the microfiber bag and throw the leash and microfiber bag in the hard case without any chance of scratching.

I really like the split shot frame. If you could only buy one lens which would it be? I fish mostly Wisconsin waters twice a year I also go to Florida and fish the ocean. I just don’t want to have to buy two pairs and two different lenses.

Awesome review! As much as i love the look of the Split Shots i notice that there seems to be a bit snugger fit around the temple area than Oakley’s that I’ve worn in the past.... any way these frames can be slightly adjusted to relieve some of the pressure?

Hey SportRX, I love y'alls videos, and I am actually considering buying these. I would use these for everyday use, driving in my car, walking around my university's campus, or even practicing outside with our university band. Would you think the Prizm Deep Water Polarized sunglasses would be good for normal things like that? My family and I also do love cruising, and we may be out at sea on cruises during the summer or in more tropical places. SportRx Just wanted to update y’all at SportRX about the status of my sunglasses. They arrived this last Monday, and I’ve been wearing them for about a week, and I only have one thing to say. I love them. They are fantastic overall, as they fit my head well, and can be paired with my hat without too many issues if the hat resting on top of the sunglasses. I wore them this past Saturday as well for our football game and used them in the blazing afternoon sun at 3:30 PM. They worked fantastic throughout the game, and I can’t not say enough good things about them. Would highly recommend these to anyone. Thanks again for the review! Took your recommendation and went with the split shots. Biggest downfall that annoys me on every trip is the the nose pads keep falling off and have to keep putting them back on 😡😡😡😡

Hi! If the nosepad continually falls off, it may be the result of a defect of sorts. However, if you've had them for quite a long time and used them regularly, and depending on the shape of your nosebridge, they could have succumbed to common wear and tear. Luckily, Oakley provides replacement lenses for most models including the Split Shot!

Dudes and Dudettes... Found a pair of these same split shot prizm p sunglasses on side of the road... unfortunate luck but y'all know the "finders keepers" rule... I have an eye to find treasure on the ground and parks. Cell phones and wallets need to get back to owners but money and knives, sunglasses, yeti coffee mugs, nalgene water bottles are another person find.. I almost ran over these on side of the road. Great find and will use them come fishing time!

That's a great question! The Split Shot is really more of a M to L fit, but Rob identifies as more of a L to XL fit and they fit him well.
