In a country with no history of fast bowlers, in a system that didn’t know how to produce fast bowlers, a fast bowler was born. In a country that never produced world class all-rounders, an all-rounder was born. In a country that didn’t know how to win, a World Cup was won. That’s the legend of Kapil Dev.

One of the greatest men cricket has ever produced. His 175* when India were fumbling at 17/5, one of the greatest ODI innings of all time. He taught an underdog team how to stand up to the mighty West Indies team of the early 80s. And with the ball he picked 434 wickets, stood as the highest wicket taker for so many long years... And yet so humble and genuine. Simplicity of the great man.

Kapil Dev wrote poetry with the cricket ball. He was a genius in an era when cricket alone mattered in the game. The man is such a modest gentleman. Hear this interview, read the other articles about him.....much ink has been spilt about him; and through it all he has been a thorough gentleman. I resonate with the vibes of the nation and the cricket-world and say ‘we are proud of You and your shoes are so unique that it’s difficult to fill”.

My goodness, what a man he is! So calm, so composed, so elegant, so planned. A true legend, may be people don't agree that he's the best cricketer India has ever produced, but he's a great player of life, and he knows the way to live a perfect life. His calmness while he talks is just unmatched. Great respect from a 18 year old fan. Sir I've never seen you playing, but I can imagine that with this kind of attitude one can always conquer the world. And leaving the comment with a wish that someday in my life, I will be honoured enough to meet you. Loads of love Kapil Sir ♡

@@rakshitpunia9504 Chandu Borde is a Padma Bhushan and Arjun awardee for his services to Indian cricket. I think Kapil said with true humility that a cricketer of his stature had to wait for daily allowances. He deserves respect.

In India, the name 'Kapil Dev' has become synonymous to a proper fast bowling allrounder and one of the greatest fast bowlers ever. We can have a great fast bowling allrounder in the future but Kapil Dev's legacy can't be replaced. There won't be another Kapil Dev.

It was a good interview with Kapil Dev Sir. His words repel his goodness. No Sr. talks much about Kapil ji, but Kapil Sir is a different. He never speak for his self, talks for everyone & includes every one. That's the thing I love about Kapil ji, more than a cricketer.

Gavaskar saab, that's Kapil for you. Very humble man. I am not a big fan of him in school days. I am hardcore Sunil Gavaskar's fan and i had so many fights with my schoolmates who are Kapil's fan. It is nice to see my generation cricketers again. Kapil paaji our country's real fast bowler in 70s-80s.
