Am I not understanding the first problem correctly... didn't the population increase 25% IN two years so the answer would be 125%. The way it's being worked out isn't even the correct way to work out what is stated. If it grew by 25% two years in a row it would be 125 ppl the first year then after another 25% growth the population would be 156.25 ppl for the second year. The way you are working it out would need to read that it grew by 25% for two years of the ORIGINAL population amount.
