Low Pygmy is derived from the ancient African Pygmy mode that gives that sweet, sultry, sexy vibe with endless amounts of flow.
As the top shell holds the F# Low Pygmy Mutant climbing from F#3 on the ding all the way to F#5 and G#5 in the mutant positions, the bottom shell fills in the gaps of the top with 6 notes that create a fully diatonic instrument over 3 modes; D Lydian, E Mixolydian, F# Aeolian(Natural Minor). We like to call this Kintsugi.
Kintsugi: The Japanese art of pouring gold into the cracks and fissures of broken pottery to not only repair the piece but to display the mend as a part of the objects beauty.
Our gold in this case is the bottom notes filling in the spaces of the top to create a fully diatonic instrument that has complete capability to compose.
