Why are you using sea shells on your soap?
They are not real. They are soap. lol 😂
What is the white colorant?
It’s titanium dioxide mixed with water.
Titanium dioxide is a naturally occurring mineral used as a bright white pigment for cosmetics and in the food industry.
Why are you using micas??
These are Lab created Micas and the colors used are Blue Sky and Electric Blue from Nurture Soap.

Why is there lye in this soap???
All soap is made with lye. When you mix lye, water and a fat (oil) together a chemical reaction happens called saponification and that’s how Soap is made. There is no lye left in the finished product. :)

I'm cracking myself up right now. Last night I had a dream for this awesome soap design. I don't even make soap but I felt compelled at 3am to get up and draw my soap. I notice 5at when you strain you Lye there is always some undissolved crystals. Does this not effect saponification?

Not at all. That’s called lye lint. It sometimes forms when you cool down your lye water :)

Of course! I would use white m&p with walnut hull powder for the sand part. Then blue/clear for the water. Then make the shells with white and color how ever you want :)
