It's fun to see somebody have their mind blown by Oasis all these years later. They did that to me as a 14 year old kid in 1994. Magnificent band - and I was at this gig. It was outstanding, although I preferred the Finsbury Park gig from the Heathen Chemistry tour, at least from their later years. If you're still looking for bands from the UK, give the Manic Street Preachers a try. Design for Life is their most accessible track to start with, I'd suggest.

I believe this is from 2005 Etihad stadium in Manchester, which belong to Manchester City football club, the capacity is just under 60k. Oasis are from the local area and are massive Manchester City fans.

I agree with most of your comments, but as for America 'turning on the Beatles'... never happened. Yes, the bible-belt burned a few records on the strength of Lennon's Jesus comments, but it never affected their sales one bit. Indeed, they had 9 more number 1s and 6 more number 1 albums after the 'more popular than Jesus' comments.

Oasis are brilliant. I finally got to see them live just a week before they broke up. They never really made it in the US. They went over and just said fuck it, too much work and went back to England. You should try listen to Champagne Supernova.

@David David : Love The Jam, The Smiths and Stone Roses, but Oasis........meh.........A bit of Beatlesque influence with some Rolling Stones swagger, but definitely not greater than anyone of those aforementioned bands in my opinion. I Love British Rock too. Oasis had it's moments with Acquiesce, Definitely Maybe, The Masterplan; but overall, I really don't see anything too special about the band and especially Liam's nasal vocal style. Saying Americans don't get 'Oasis' is like saying most selective people in the world don't get K-Pop (except for Noobs of course).

I was at this gig, it was an epic night at MAINE ROAD MANCHESTER CITY FOOTBALL STATUIM before it was demolished. It's bands like this why I love my city of Manchester. Also another Manchester band from the 80s & 90s was called James. React to James - sit down live at the G-MEX 👍. GREAT REACTION

I can't Express how big Oasis are 😂 75+ million albums worldwide..what's the story morning glory is one of the biggest selling albums in history, wonderwall is getting 700,000 streams a DAY just on Spotify, they done 2 nights at Knebworth 250,000 people and 4% of the british population applied for tickets, the fastest selling debut album of all time and that's all I can list at 2.07 in the morning...massive band and so under rated in America beyond belief.

The band line up changed over the years, in 95 the original drummer was sacked and the new drummer alan white came late 95, the bassist and rhythm guitarist left the band in 99 and andy bell and gem archer replaced them in 2000, alan white the drummer then left the band in 04 who was then replaced by zak starkey (ringo stars son drummer of the who) and then in 08 he left the band and was replaced by chris sharrock he was the last drummer untill they broke up in 09 sadly chris never played on any of their albums. So some of their songs live will sound slightly different over the years due to lineup change and the frontman (liam gallacher) voice sadly deteriorating because of his loud singing technique and drugs, cigs etc. You should give their song Morning Glory a listen
