thanks for sharing the video. It was amazing to see just how much interest there was from people that wanted to watch and record the arrival of the Oasis of the Seas. It is on my list of ships to go on at some point in the future. I have seen so much of it on tv and the internet that I cannot wait to go on a cruise vacation with my family on board this giant of the seas.

Did this ship out of Port Canaveral and did Allure of the seas out of Port Everglades , and doing Oais agian this Dec. Done all 4 Disney ships multi times as they were very good , but kids are grown up and time changes everything.

The longest cruise ship in the world today. Measuring 360 meters long by 42 wide and is 56 meters high. its beauty is disarming. Its construction took place in Greece. to understand the enormous size is 90 meters long in most of the Titanic:)

@77videoman .. In total size at 225,282 TONS.. the Oasis of the Seas is about 5x the size of the titanic and 3x bigger than the QE2 (Queen Elizabeth 2). It holds over 5k passengers and is the largest cruise ship on the ocean today.

FInnjet was also made in Finland. Kind of monuments both, I think. It's generally done to welcome the ship into the port. It's a celebratory, for special occasions - an important ship coming into a port for the first time, a parade of ships for a holiday, things like that. These boats almost always double up as fire-fighting boats so it's a question why not shoot water into the air? It does look pretty cool!
