I dont think any of you understand how amazing a royal carribean cruise experience is. All of you saying it's just like being in a mall for a week, it's nothing like that. Theres so many things to do on a cruise, expecially this one. There's a teen club, great food, a kids club, a spa, a salon, a theatre, an ice skating rink, rock climbing walls, an aqua theatre, central park, you name it. This cruise is epic. The experience will stay with you forever. I can't wait til i get on it June 18th

How beautiful....I've never been on a cruise, but my daughter is a massage therapist who is on the ship working. She is very excited to be a part of the first transatlantic cruise from Finland to Ft. Lauderdale. Very exciting!!!!

Cruise ships usually make stops at many different locations, usually staying all day at each port, so passengers can experience the different islands. They get plenty of opportunities to go into the ocean as well as do many other things. But resorts have the benefit of you getting to stay in one place for an extended time and really get the most out of it.

Royal Caribbean ships are sooo nice. I just went on the Navigator of the Seas this summer, we went through the Mediterranean. I would love to try this ship, but it's crazy expensive. Maybe one day! I do recommend sailing with RCCL, they're awesome!

We've cruised on a number of different Royal Caribbean ships (from the "small" Monarch to the huge Freedom), and all have been great in their own ways. Radiance-class ships (I've been on Radiance, Brilliance and Serenade) are my favorites. We're booked on the maiden voyage of Oasis in December - I'm sure it will be a trip to remember. It seems that Oasis will make even the Freedom of the Seas seem small!

Incredible... I've been in a lot of cruises before, most of 'em form Royal Caribbean, but man... This ship? This is something of a WHOLE n'other scale. It isn't a floating resort, it's a floating CITY!

Me, my mother , and my brother's are going on this cruise ship in 2011 that's why i had to have a little tour and this is the best reivew ive seen yet this is simple , but my mother told me about the city's like they have newyork , they have all these other city's this is better than the disney cruise and i have been on the disney cruise

This is just one more step towards teh Freedom Ship. Insanely beautiful, gardens and everything (making it potentially self-sustaining, too) I would enjoy working there.

Yaay :) I'm going on it in February!! I've gone on the sister ship's that used to be the biggest cruise ship in the world (Freedom of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas and Independance of the Seas), but now this :D Can't wait!

I checked the rates in April are 1200/person for an inside cabin. 7 night cruise from Ft Lauderdale. So about double what it would normally cost, at least for that size/style cabin. I would imagine the "loft suites" will be very pricey.

Tarmale: Oasis will do Eastern Caribbean from November '09 through April '10. Then it will alternate Eastern and Western Caribbean every week. Ship's port will be Frt Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

@prooc I was on it, and trust me, it was not crowded AT ALL. Either the ship was not at max capacity or there's so much space your always apart from everyone, I don't know but it actually felt empty at times on the pool deck, believe it or not.

damn...thats a big ship....i have worked on carnival and theyre ships are big enuff...this is mammouth...would be crazy to embark..can u imagine it in rough weather....and did they forget the carribbean does have rain...the promenade would be a nightmare...

I booked for me and my girlfriend for this ship.. it looks incredible, I just have a question, not sure if anyone here can actualy help but I made my reservation on the Boardwalk neighborhood of the ship, with a balcony. I know the central park area has no ceiling so you can look outside from your balcony and you can see the sky... is it the same for boardwalk? does it have a roof?

RCCL does have a pvt island located in Haiti (Labadee shores completly private)seperated from EVERYTHING by mountains.I have been on both lines. Disney is cool if you have young kids or you are under 12. No casino!Yikes! Food is good though. I went on Freedom of the Seas recently and it blew my mind.There is everything to do you could possibly imagine.surfing/iceskating ting/rockwall.

P.S.There is probably no chance you would be able to book (by your bday in the summer of 09)on Oasis, but try Liberty or Freedom of the Seas right now equally biggest in the world)oh yeah... the Bahamas are cool and all but the private island in Haiti blows it out of the water. @carlie9115 newsflash, there has been several dozens of ocean liners and cruiseships made after 1912 that was "titanic's dad". In the 1930's there were ocean liners more than TWICE as large, that were faster, safer and more modern. Examples. Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, Normandie and Rex

The captain is Norwegian on the oasis of the sea=). i have been on the boat. the best boat ever. this is the biggest boat they will made because of the bridge in Denmark! And i have eat with the captain on the ship. best vecesion ever.

@MrFosters16 I guess if the ship's captain somehow decided to take this cruise ship on the ocean (she's not designed to be an ocean liner like Queen Mary 2) and intentionally going full speed ahead in some thick fog, and also ignoring radar, and other ships seeing her on their radar well within range, then she could possibly sink from some nasty collision with another ship and even if she would, there'd be plenty of time to save ALL passengers. the Sea Diamond sank in Greece. all were saved
