I’d confidently say either 2009, 2005 or 2011 were Noel’s best vocal years. The control on this is just amazing. Especially on the “panic is on the way”. Holds the note for ages, declines it in a new way and makes it sound amazing. Wish he did this song like this with the HFB.

I think Standing on the Shoulder of Giants is a severly underrated album. It has Gas Panic, Go Let It Out, Lets All Make Believe, Where Did It All Go Wrong, Sunday Morning Call

Unfortunately Let's All Make Believe, which BTW is a great song, is one of the B-sides of Go Let It Out's single. But I agree, except for Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth is and I Can See A Liar, which I think they're not so great, the rest is just brilliant.

Considering Noel still writes most of the songs (and the best songs), and is by far the more articulate and intelligent of the two Gallaghers, I'm not so sure. Oasis COULD carry on with just Liam, Gem, and the rest, but they wouldn't be nearly as epic or interesting without Noel's songwriting, musicianship, and general presence.

Yet Beady Eye wrote their own music, lyrics, and put their heart and soul into every recording they made. Compare that with LG's solo career where he is writing with a boardroom of Sony Executives. Noel has announced 2 solo concerts back to back, and the only two of this year supposedly. March 25/26, Royal Albert Hall, London. He said he is going to do the golden oldies, hopefully, this is on the list ^_^
