the solo part of noel is very amazing i love it. i love this song live much better than a record. why? simply because they added some sounds specially the guitar solo of noel that you don't even hear on the record version but the record is awesome too. but for me the live version of this song is really amazing especially the version of familiar to millions cd/dvd love it.

Noel plays so well live. It’s a shame that on his new stuff he doesn’t play lead that much anymore, he was always a maverick songwriter but such an underrated guitarist
@Bonesmusicandsounds5 жыл бұрын
maverick songwriter agreed but only a relatively okayish guitarist coming from someone whos played guitar a long time
@oliverread25325 жыл бұрын
leo fuzz i would disagree. He doesn’t tap or play more than the pentatonic/blues, but other than David Gilmore and jimmy page all these modern guitar players who play modes, usually really fast and well out of time, suck. Eddy van Halen is an awesome guitar player but his music is niche and kinda robotic. Playing simple, can give your playing soul
@Bonesmusicandsounds5 жыл бұрын
@@oliverread2532 yeah i fully agree i hate tapping and stuff like that but noel doesn't put in that much soul as other players like hendrix or prince and he tends to play the same things (same bends), instead of varying his technique
@alexturner89462 жыл бұрын
I don’t think his goal was to be the next Hendrix. But his style just fit. And that’s what makes the songs great. Certainly a competent guitarist in his own right

I honestly prefer the sound quality here to the recent remasters. It sounds more rough, as the low tones have so much more presence, as opposed to the newer versions where it sounds so dry (though cleaner)

Big ass achievements for the lads, but not quite the "super" gig. I live a stone's throw from where they grew up and yes, this is a massive undertaking for the guys from Burnage but Metallica got in first and played to 1.6M people (at one gig) in Russia in 1991. Still, 250,000 over 2 days is a great achievement. (yes, i know Oasis could have sold out Kneb. several times over, but it didnt happen).

JM 667 5% of the British population applied for tickets, it could of been sold out 18 times that means a lot!
@SlasherthraX7 жыл бұрын
Adam Goacher The facts still remain. And in case you failed to notice, or just cant read properly, i kindly added the fact they could have sold out Knebworth several times over, but that didn't happen. It's irrelevant what COULD have happened, its what ACTUALLY happened. 2 days = 250,000. Metallica 1.6M for one single gig in '91. Like i say, those are the facts. Stop trying to be a keyboard warrior.
@AG-kn3os7 жыл бұрын
JM 667 Fuck off with the keyboard warrior bollocks mate and its not quite as irrelevant as you think because everyone actually went to the effort of attempting to book tickets, you make it sound like it was just a figure plucked from no where it wasn't that amount of effort was put in by the British public, need to show a little bit more respect for what these lads meant to people at that time
