Hey everyone! Oasis has been one of my favorite bands, and for the past two years, they've been my most-listened artist. With the reunion confirmed last week, I felt it was the perfect time to share my personal top 10 Oasis riffs (no particular order). Plus, I'm making the guitar tone preset I used in this video available for free on my Patreon. Hope you enjoy! This is fantastic. Noel is not the most technically gifted guitarists but my oh my can he write a great melody and some incredibly memorable riffs and solos (from a melodic and feeling perspective, not from a technical one).
@markdavies72124 ай бұрын
Noel dont write good tunes, he rips them off. Every catchy oasis song is a ripped off lick or riff- even he admits that himself. You just got to dig up all the times they were sued for ripping off songs

Agreed! Specially the vocal melodies. I used to only care about the instrumental parts pf the songs, but Noel changed that for me...

I don't know about you, but Noel without being the most virtuoso guitarist in history has left us an amazing number of iconic solos and riffs that undisputedly positions him in the status of legend.

@@LexGuitarTabs I didn't mention it because the subject was about guitars but I totally agree with what you say. There is so much to rescue from Oasis, I still shed some tears when I hear Champagne Supernova on the headphones, sorry, I'm hyper excited about the reunion. Successes with your channel, greetings. ✌️✌️

@yakoshtv Yeah, man I can totally relate! I'm more of a metal listener, and I usually don't even care about the vocals, I focus on the instrumental parts, but Oasis changed that for me. Champagne Supernova is my favorite song ever, by far! I'm so excited about It too, hopefully they will do a world tour because I can't go to the UK...

Thanks! The guitar is a strinberg shs300. For the amps and pedals, I always use neural amp modeler. For this video, I used the model of a wem dominator. The same amp Noel use to record Definetely Maybe.

@@JackRice007 yes, he intentionally copied it. Same as he copied Get It On by T-Rex for Cigarettes & Alcohol. That’s not uncommon in the music industry 🤷🏻♂️

@@jworpington just because it’s not uncommon doesn’t mean it’s okay. I don’t think musical plagiarism is a good example to emulate. Most of the great artists had influences but created something new and unique from that. People don’t just go around stealing riffs to make up an entire catalog,

What do the zeros stacked up with brackets around mean which are played after chord?
@LexGuitarTabs4 ай бұрын
When you are transitioning from one chord to another, you kinda play the open notes while you stay strumming with the songs rhythm, so I like to put that into the tabs as well...
@richb68724 ай бұрын
@@LexGuitarTabsthanks for the reply. I assumed they were notes that were to be left to ring, but hadn’t sent them strummed previously.
@LexGuitarTabs4 ай бұрын
Yeah, when changing chords fast, the open notes will ring out a bit, but not as loud, because its not the accent beat, thats why It is in brackets... I know sometimes people can get a bit confused by It, but thats how I like to tab 😅

some might say has great riff too. Every British band writes and plays great riffs to me, better than americans

Yeah, I think it's more like a chord progression then a riff itself, but it's awesome indeed. Definetly UK is better on the rock n roll, but US has the grunge, pop and 90s hip hop, which are insanelly good too
