Thank you! I got the handy pack with purple primer and medium orange cement for my CPVC pipe that I am welding together. I'll follow these instructions after I add a good coat of primer to both junctions of the weld. Cheers!

Oatey does not recommend adding chemicals to alter the products consistency. The self life of Oatey's cements is 3 years from the date of manufacturing, which can be found on the bottom of the can in Julian format. When exposed to air the solvents begin to evaporate, which cause the cement to thicken. When properly stored with the cap tightly secured, the cements viscosity should remain within the products specification for the duration of the self life.
