What happen to this band actually? Did they form new band ? They are damn good!

so i don't know about the other members of oatmeal but Tyler (whichever that one is) was in coping, which has a very similar energy to oatmeal! they're one of my favorite midwest emo bands. beyond that i wonder what happened to them :/ based on the few live videos of them on youtube they seemed to have other songs! i wonder if they were ever recorded i managed to dig up this old comment from Coping's facebook page where they answered this (i can't find it anymore but i had a screenshot saved): "Tyler was in a couple of bands. Oatmeal and You're Favorite Kind of Cigarettes, and more recently Gravel King. Reese was in Suffix, and Ok Sara. Tom has worked with a ton of different projects. Torture Love is probably one of his more well known projects. Mac....is Mac. Hopefully that helps! You'll probably have to search on band camp for a lot of that stuff."

@@lifeatpaddyspub I've loved oatmeal for so long and used to listen on last.fm. I'm a big fan of the band coping which shares at least one member of the band. I hold their music dear to me.

@@BummerParty I only discovered oatmeal a few months ago but i've listened to this ep every day since. i love coping too but for some reason these oatmeal songs just hit me especially hard. They never released any other recorded music right? hard to find much about them online these days
