DeMarco Saunders I'm not going to pretend to know the details and the technical terms... But this is a form of CGI. Live action CGI. Basically... it's made off of a frame. Those are actors performing the the main characters actions. In game play... there is no frame to follow.... it's unscripted, so it won't be as precise and detailed. If you go look behind the scenes... they filmed this the same way they would film Avatar or similar movies.

This is my interpretation - They seed out a short film, like the above, which draws some level of interest. If there's enough interest, say an author finds some parallels to their own work, or just wants to jump in, then a collaboration can take place & we may get some larger story out of this glimpse into some sci-fi world. I don't know about you, but this gets my mind going like crazy. What were their previous lives? How does that leader know where they came from? Why did the one 'short' out & die? GIVE ME MOAR!
@Mr._Steal_Your_Squirrel
@Mr._Steal_Your_Squirrel 6 жыл бұрын
Zak Pearson well said! I agree fully. The stories are so rich with lore and high level creativity that collaboration and spin offs are almost endless. Just one of these half hour stories has more meat than some multi movie franchises.
@zack1138
@zack1138 6 жыл бұрын
They've yet to actually sell anything though and Blomkamp has spent millions of his own money funding this. It's an interesting concept but is unproven as a business model and just because they're making cool things doesn't mean it will succeed or is succeeding. Collaborations don't pay the bills. They need to sell concepts.

Everyone wants to know what is the music playing when Mirror arrives. Observations: Credits in EP2 says 'Music' by Lorne Balfe, and in EP3 says 'Music Production Services' is from Steven Kofsky and doesn't cites Balfe. However the best soundtrack in EP3 when the Prophet cures Marian, talks and walks in the end, is made by an Italian composer named Alessandro Cortini (the good music in EP3 [not Mirror in EP2] is called 'Gloria'), who doesn't appear in any credits. I'm mad about this, and mad chasing this 'Mirror Theme'.

I mean he's a good world builder, he has distinct visions of good settings with characters that are able to feel real and you can grasp the issues presented easily, he does that remarkably, but when they become full projects they seem shallow because that ability only goes so far, and when focus is applied to ine facet of his creation, he isn't able to add the depth a great writer can, a great writer who can't do anything he does. I think he knows this by the approach of making these little glimpses into things that all could potentially make great movies. I feel like neil blomkampf is one of those people that needs to find another person with equal talent in other areas to become a remarkable force in film, like imagine denis vellenueve and neil blomkapf, that would be amazing. Right now I think he's a wasted talent in the movie realm, as the criticisms to his films are very consistent, and I fear if he doesn't find the right person to fill those gaps with their expertise that they excel at he will continue to be a hit and miss director that doesn't reach the fame he deserves.

🎬📽"ADAM: THE MIRROR" wasn't like ANYTHING I've ever seen before in 7 minutes on Film or TV. Many Screenwriter's/Director's/Producer's/Movie Distribution Co.'s, etc. should be foaming at the mouth. After watching these Incredible & Artistic craftmanship of Cinematography. They should all be blowing up Blomkamp's phone & "#OatsStudio" with High Interest, Motivation & Inspiration to implement themselves into these AWESOME Productions. Or, become involved anyway they can. To recreate, and/or ready to build off of these Unprecedented 'Short Film Projects' distributed onto KZbin. I'd be ready to go full force with some big budget productions. I'm ready & excited to see some Full Length Feature Films in the near future. Ever since the very first project was released. #NeillBlomkamp, you're such a Creative Genius. With Savvy work that speaks volumes. A mind blowing product. A cool & unusual step outside of reality into another realm! Blomkamp & his Camp are on fire! ...Are you impressed so far?

Gordon Connors III Unfortunately most studios in Hollywood see animation as a kids medium and nothing more. To them an animation movie like this would be a box office bomb because kids and their parents would be turned off from it, while a "safe" family friendly movie would draw in more people and more revenue. You should look up an interview someone did with some people on the Oscar voting board regarding animated films.

What's up, Forrest Aguirre? I appreciate your comment & opinion. However, I'm a bit interested why you feel that way? Wouldn't you like to see #Blomkamp & #OatsStudios dominate the Hollywood industry?
@ForrestAguirre
@ForrestAguirre 6 жыл бұрын
Gordon Connors III I worry that a larger studio might impinge on the original creator's creative freedom. It's rare that an organization with deep pocketbooks won't influence a writer/producer to "water doen" their own creative content, making it more palatable to "the masses", thus sacrificing quality. There are exceptions, of course.
@thewundalandcompany
@thewundalandcompany 6 жыл бұрын
I'm absolutely with you 💯%, Forrest Aguirre. Most def'! However, that's not the angle or direction I was recommending for Blomkamp and "Oats Studio's" Camp! I would never want such Talent & Entertainment to strategically fail. Especially a Visionary Writer, Producer, and Director of super imaginative caliber in Blomkamp💡. I'm talking about "MAJOR DISTRIBUTION" man 💵👍🤑! Something to push the barometer for Blomkamp & Camp! So us fans can start to enjoy a new Cinematic format in the near future that can potentially changes the look of Hollywood (which has struggled for awhile, in my own opinion). Take a look at James Cameron for example. He has 100% Creativity in a lot of the work he does NOW. He doesn't allow ANYONE to water down ANYTHING he touches in any project he works on Producer/Director, James Cameron is another huge visionary as well. Ya' think?! He not only has total control of his work but he has broken down many barriers in his Productions & the actual Product he puts in Theater, TV, Video, and the Internet after the success of "Terminator" & "Titanic". He's on a whole different level to-date, with his Creativity too. It started prior to his "Avatar" breakthrough. Which took Cameron a decade to complete the 1st Script (Part 1) of his Series. Making "Avatar", when it's all said & done, with the follow-up films. It will be a multi-trillion dollar Film entitity. To conclude. I'm aboard with everything you said bro. Blomkamp & "Oats" just needs a Distribution Boost and a consistent platform/format so we can maintain being entertained. Ya dig?! 🎬📽🛰👾💣💥🔥

I think it's better as a feature length (in total) series of short online-published chapters, that can later be cut into a BluRay movie. I don't think this NEEDS to hit the cinemas. I don't think the usual cinema going audience is going to appreciate this, and publishing and marketing to cinema has costs associated with it.
