This is one of the reasons why the Ibo tradition and culture repudiates anything about kingship and royal bloodlines, because you can’t guarantee that a knowledgeable and sensible person will always be on the throne. In the past, titles in Igboland was awarded to men of timbre, caliber and moral rectitude but today the story is not the same every Dick and Harry is awarded chieftancy titles. Being of royal bloodline does not imply that you are the repository of wisdom or absolve the individual of stupidity and ignorance. Anyone who associates God with rascality and criminality must be really sick in the head and not fit to be a royal father. This is the bane of Nigeria’s problems when politicians, church leaders, Islamic clerics and royal fathers are bedmates and partners of rascality and criminality. How can one use God’s name to endorse evil and unrighteousness? This is blasphemy to the highest degree. From a high position of pure and clear cognition, defense of the Oba's statement in this case will place anyone in the realm of oblivious stupidity only found amongst the APC spokesmen and cronies. It must be stated and remembered that you cannot allow the culture that you have respect for to block your reasoning. The Oba is not God, neither is he an Angel nor a divine spirit. Additionally, he Is Human like everyone else and can be corrupted. Clearly, the reasoning of Tinubu being ordained by God as a statement from a sitting Oba is highly flawed given what has transpired in Nigeria, from the sham of an election, the stealing of the people's mandate, the impoverishment of the Nigerian people and the continued regression of the Nigerian economy.
