Ase Baba because Within the metaphysic of the Orishas there are “both male and female within one Orisha”. For example olukun is both male and female and Aje is olukun daughter but she’s literally wealth and prosperity not male or female. Essentially she’s applied knowledge of olukun secret of life on the bottom of the ocean floor where no human being has lived. Which would make olukun your subconscious thoughts, ideas and creativity. And money is feminine energy female as shown through Aje being the “daughter” of olukun those subconscious thoughts, ideas and creativity that makes a person wealthy. So if one comes to study the Orishas using other theology they will be very confused but if they come to learn they can learn. The Orisha knowledge is very gentle welcoming and compassionate anyone that really wants to learn can learn. So there’s rewards for humbleness to learn the metaphysic of the Orishas. To add you baba have a “good character” to where you make it sweet like Oshun honey to come learn from you. I’ll soon be attending your classes when my ancestors place me in your class...

Man you are on one. The stories, the tools, the characters, plus more all has to be defined in order to get anything out of the whole way of life. On the surface it looks so simple until you start learning and it doesn’t and will not happen in a day. I’m a huge fan. Even the stories about the animals and insects are deep! Thank you for sharing your wisdom. If I’m not mistaken... the stories are called Odu?

i think that the brilliance of ifa is making things look simple. but, as you mentioned, once you start to delve into the matter, you discover the complexity. it is sobering. it is humbling. i am grateful for the journey and i appreciate your support. may you continue to prosper and grow. ase!

I just received my hand of ifa in January. My baba has not explained the metaphysical side. I make my ose Ifa , but I know I am missing steps. Where and how can I get hands-on guidance in the tradition?
