Hi! Thanks for watching! In this video I talk about what the main differences are between the world renowned Obagi Nu Derm Rx and Fx systems, touching on my own personal client success stories. Both systems are fantastic in treating hyperpigmentation and ageing concerns and systems I work regularly with when treating my own clients. Please remember that this video is not a direct recommendation to you as you must always seek advice about your skin concerns from a trained skincare professional. Hope you enjoy the video ☺️ Belle xo

Many thanks Belle, Yes I fully understand and appreciate your professionalism. I only meant to ask general questions. Your videos and information are educational and must not substitute a direct consultation with a professional. I am a doctor myself and feel more confidence in someone like you who knows the limitations and promote individuals safety and awareness. I am looking forward to watching more videos. BW

If I am using the FX system system along a side of hydroquinone, how would I incorporate a retinal ? 😊
@bellebourne-glowbayskinexp8024 Жыл бұрын
Hi there. The Obagi Retinol can be used PM time immediately after the Blender. It would be recommended to incorporate this slowly 1-2 times per week initially, leaving 3 days in-between. Then the dosage can be upped slowly to every other evening. Go with your own tolerance & sensitivity push backs - there isn’t always one protocol to fit all. Hope that helps. Belle xo

Hello, I have been using the crx system since Jan 2022 with chemical peels in between. I have now been told I need to Start weaning off the Obagi products that has Hydroquinone in them . Do you advise if I should Start to use the fx system or the nu derm system to maintain my results / to improve some remaining of my hyperpigmentation that's left on my forehead and neck. I would appreciate your advice. Thanks Sarah 😊

Hello Belle, thank you for the educational videos. How long can you use Obagi Rx or Obagi Fx systems for? Can they be used forever and nonstop as the regular skin care routine? Thank you

@@bellebourne-glowbayskinexp8024 Thank you darling for your prompt response. Yes I have been on Rx system for just over 3 months and it did really help with post inflammatory pigmentation and chronic hyperpigmentation around my mouth. I use it with ZO retinol brightener 1%. Before Obagi Nu Derm I was on ZO for almost 2 years. I am thinking to gradually switch to Obagi Fx in a couple of months to hopefully maintain my result and replace hydroxiquine with arbutin but I am worried I may lose my result? I used hydroxiquine 4% cream with ZO system for 3 months 2 years ago but it was not as effective as the Obagi nu derm. However I noticed that I got rebound hyperpigmentation after I gradually stopped the hydroxiquine.
@bellebourne-glowbayskinexp80243 жыл бұрын
@@nsaed1967 it’s important to stress that pigmentation is reversible and clients undergoing plans must continue to use suppressants. The Obagi Hydroquinone is safe for continual use and maintenance protocols are available with the Nu Derm. Arbutin takes more steps to convert to Hydroquinone in the skin however it is still a really effective suppressor and commonly used for maintenance programs too. I would advise discussing this with your practitioner so they can send across the correct protocol to you, as that tally’s with either Rx or Fx use. If you switch to Fx and see a small rebound, at least you know you could always upgrade to using Hydroquinone again. I hope that helps.

@bellebourne-glowbayskinexp8024 Жыл бұрын
Hi Samantha. I would advise to be very careful with this as the Nu Derm system will definitely heighten skin sensitivity. Until you are on a maintenance plan, I would discontinue attending laser sessions. Belle x

Hi Belle, Im glad to have found your channel! I realize this is an older video, but I had a question regarding the Obagi clear & Obagi Blender. I understand that using hydroquinone must be discontinued after using it for a period of time, but it seems as though many people are using the Obagi system w/ out discontinuing or giving their skin time to rest from the hydroquinone. Is continued use w/ out stopping the hydroquinone products ( Obagi Blender / Clear) safe to do? I’d appreciate your thoughts ❤ Thank you!
@bellebourne-glowbayskinexp8024 Жыл бұрын
Hi there. Thanks for your comment. The Obagi Blender is safe for continued use as there are no studies to say otherwise. Some clients out of personal choice only choose to have a break, but this is not mandatory. When HQ has been used for a period of time I usually advise going onto a maintenance protocol, involving less usage, but never advising to stop altogether. A lot of what is online about HQ being unsafe has no relevance to the Obagi brand, as that is proven to be safe with its many clinical studies as background. Another option would be if you wish to take a break from the Blender would be to use the Blender Fx instead. This contains Arbutin which is a derivative of HQ. The only downside is, and this doesn’t apply to everyone, is that Arbutin just may not keep pigmentation at bay like HQ does. This is because HQ actively destroys the cells that produce melanin, and Arbutin just inhibits the production of Tyrosinase. Any changes you make please consult your practitioner first, if you are being guided by one, and the above points are not to be taken as direct recommendations. I hope that helps. Belle xo

Hi, I’ve been using the obagi nu derm RX since may. Advised to use clear and exfoderm forte ever other morning with 0.05 Tretinion cream with blender at night. My main concern is peeling. Yes I can see some difference but surely the peeling should of eased by now. My system is for normal to oily skin but to be honest I’ve never thought of my skin as oily. Is there any way to help? Thanks Emma
@bellebourne-glowbayskinexp80242 жыл бұрын
Hi Emma. With continuous use, the system can actively make the skin peel. A lower % Tretinoin will probably make the skin peel less however bare in mind the results may be slower. Are you actively in touch with your practitioner? Belle

Hi Cecile. Obagi prescription skincare is safe to use continuously. Individual items featured within the Obagi Nu Derm system can all be used separately, however used synergistically is how the best results are achieved. If you’d like to hop onto a consultation with me, you can find the link in the description box to this video. Hope that helps you. Belle xo
