Another great video James. So good to see another sailor like nyself who likes to visit the wilder places and live on the hook, rather than going from marina to marina. Keep up the good work!

Chris Cowlard yes hard to beat going to the remoter places we sit in marinas long enough over winter I just find it hard to understand heading out to go back to a marina.

@@Skipperjames men after my own heart. After 18 months in a marina and a month on a mooring I'm finally heading to anchor and fulfilling a (virtually) lifelong dream. Hopefully by mid July I'll be making my way down the coast of Portugal in my Sigma :-)

Lovely spot! Just working my way through your spain/portugal vlogs from a year or two ago, love them. Where is mr moore aka donkey head these days? Haven't seen him in recent vids, he’s come craic with that fckin kevin n perry hat 🤣🤣. Im a motor boat man myself, all that hauling at lines, running along on your side and getting drenched etc wouldnt suit me at all, although i can see the enjoyment in it if you arent a lazy hure like me. 🤣🤣🤣Keep up the vlogs boys, great to see fellas like yourself out there doing it, instead of all these headers I speak to in the marina who know everything but yet their boats never leave the pontoons.. plenty of experts about.

Chris White 😂 thanks for watching. This wasn’t just for alex the big trip was a bit much for him so I tried him with the smaller one out to the Faroe’s last year and was the same thing ...he got awful homesick. Few other things to but that was the main one...I hope the videos have improved a little bit. I could spend hours editing and turn them into a great set of clips but that eats into my exploring time and I’d rather show it how it really is.

Ah the videos are brilliant James, no bullshit, i think thats what i like about them, and your a really good example of what can be done perfectly safely without spending 100’s of thousands. Suppose there’s plenty out there that think they would love being away for 6 months; but until you do it, you dont really know how you’ll deal with it. Its a dream of mine. Although, i’ll need a nordhavn for it, and that’s another dream so unlikely to ever happen! I arse about belfast lough just, odd trip to portpatrick and few times to the peel in isle of man but thats it; but since watching your vid’s, there is some truly stunning parts up round scotland, loved the looked of loughaline: maybe venture out further afield when the kids are up a bit. Is dangerous darren the fella that owns your awl fishing boat on lough neagh?

I like what you did with your midship cleat, bolted to the toe rail. Was this fitted as standard on your Sigma? I keep having to wrap warps around my stays and have been pondering a better solution.

BlueLineSpeed they were on the boat but you can buy them online to bolt on to toe rail...
