When Obanai dies with Mitsuri in his arms, Mitsuri asks if she can be his wife if they get reincarnated. Obanai I think says yes to her words and they die together. The kakushi says that they couldn’t break Obanai and Mitsuri apart because Obanai was holding her so tightly, considering that he is weak in physical strength, so they had to bury them close together.
