Oberammergau, Germany - a visit via the German Alpine Road (Deutsche Alpenstrasse)

After touring the wonderful Romantic Road (Romantische Strasse), we left Füssen, Germany and began our German Alpine Road (Deutsche Alpenstrasse) drive that would take us all the way through Bavaria to the end at the Austrian border. One of our major stops was the historic town of Oberammergau, known for doing the famous "Passion Play" every ten years, where the whole town gets involved in presenting the play.
Because we were on a strict time schedule, we were only able to stop for about 4 hours there, but we saw so much during that time, as you'll see here. Absolutely charming town with the well-known murals adorning most buildings you see there.
As always, Ed does most of the narration that you hear, as well as most of the video camera work; I do the majority of the still photos and then edit and put the final product together to upload to You Tube.

Hi Ivan, so glad to hear that your trip to Europe will be happening. Can't wait to see what photos/videos you will be putting up when you return. I understand your excitement at going and happy that it is finally taking place & you are also going when all the flowers and blooms will be bursting forth. Can't wait for our trip to Europe in another year, it appears that London/Paris will be the one we will decide on, but you never know...so much to choose from. Hope you will consider Spain one day, I think you'd find it fascinating...especially the southern Andalucia area we visited; left some of my heart there & you'll soon be seeing many videos being put up from me, after the first of the year.

Thanks, Ivan. Yes, southern (Andalucia) Spain is amazing & I hope one day to visit the northern areas of Madrid, Toledo, Barcelona, Valencia, etc. which I know are exciting too and totally different from the southern regions.

Thanks for asking, Amy. It is a Panasonic HDC-TM900 that we bought in 2012. Only about 5 or so videos on here were done earlier with a Sony Analog Video Cam.
