Oberheim Matrix 6 with Eventide Space (some self-programmed sounds)

I just played around with my trusty Matrix6 and the Stereoping programmer. The Matrix was runned directly thru the Eventide Space Fx and via the mixer uncompressed into Ableton.

This video sounds awesome. Love your programmed sounds. I just bought two Matrix 1000's which is a rack unit with the same synth engine (just stores 1000 patches) to chain together and get 12 voices of polyphony, along with a Stereoping Synth Programmer to control parameters on the fly. Can't wait!

by far the best audio ive heard from matrix on YT. many are obsessed with synthwave or eighties top 40 type sounds, yet i always felt that, due to depth of its engine, that M6 would excel at something like this. .. ambiental. warp/idm stuff etc. awesome.

thx cluster! yes indeed the M6 can do alot more than just great saw pads. for shure, and as always... a great reverb helps every synth. but the M6 has really soemthing special

Wonderful sounds and skillful programming! I bought a Matrix 6 years ago on e-bay, and I'll never forget the feeling I got when I opened the box and saw that the synthesizer was completely destroyed...... it looked like it had fallen off the back of a plane. I was refunded in full, but it's clear that I missed out on a great synthesizer. :(

This completely and utterly stupid fool sold it 20y ago. I was in love with that synth. It was hard to program but the magic was when used with a computer editor. ;) I'm still so sad I sold it. Cretin. :( Now it's price is beyond my wallet's abilities, unfortunately. I'd actually love to buy Matrix-1000 module now, although the keyboard was great, too, but I have K-2000 and Novation keyboards these days. Pretty good, especially K-2000, of course. They used to make great keybeds in those times. Incredible semi-weighted feeling, absolutely durable. Unlike Roland's. They have nice feeling but aren't durable.

My secret with the Matrix 6 is to record 2 times the parts. Pan hard l+r and...yeah wow.

If you use an editor does it crash like the Matrix 1000 due to slow processor ? Love my 1000 but its annoying that editing it even with firmware upgrade is so sketchy.

Yes absolutly! Its especially made for the M6. Conected with midi cables.... very simple
