Oberon Summons & Analysis - I Can't Believe DW did this!

Sussy Baka was surprising in more ways than one! I didn't think his 3rd skill would have another steroid on it, let alone 2! What do you guys think is the most broken part of his kit? I'd say the most broken is that he doubles the power of black grail users and allows every AoE in game to use it in a 3 turn setup. Its absolutely nutty.

about the Merlin thing, only Merlin's buffs can miss when front lined with Oberon, and only when theyre together at the same time. A friend of mine did 15 rounds of testing and not a single Merlin buff missed while Oberon was in the backline

A lot of people had negative kneejerk reactions when they first read Oberon's demerits, but it doesn't really take much effort to see how to work around them.

Yep, its basically use it turn 3 and forget it. Even Sk2 can be used on prior turns if you're not worried about the drain.

The way I saw his Anti-merlin passive work is that Merlin's Skills/NP now have an 80% success chance, NOT that all your party gets nerfed by it because you used merlin and Oberon. Try as I might I was not able to fail a buff from someone besides merlin when using them together.

@@Khadroth it makes more sense when you consider that the merlin trait became thing so you can interpret the line as being "merlin trait allies" which would only include merlin himself.

We most definitely have a summonable Beast class, we've had him since launch I think. We just use him to raise our servants' stats.

Choose both. You basically need both for many 3t comps.

I've had a lot of people asking me. It's tough. I would say both ideally. But if you put a gun to my head I think oberon ends up having applications beyond just buster. He can work with arts and quick comps if used correctly and his 3 skill can let him outscale the likes of waver/reines if needed. Koyanskaya is amazing for buster looping and a good assassin in her own right though.

@@Khadroth thank you for the reply i appreciate it :) and yea, that's what i was thinking too. i'm gonna try for oberon then and just snag a vitch off my friends list. to be honest i'm just grateful she's an assassin so the caster slots'll still have castoria lol.

He's fast approaching and I only have 300SQs and 50tickets... The only thing I've got going is I haven't cleared LB2 onwards, but there's also Koyanskaya before him... Granted she is just gravy compared to him but I am fear. I want at least NP2 even doe I've never aimed for that before. Pray for me.

I like the vitch system more myself with how fun it looks to do on JP. New gimmicks are always a plus to see added especially sleep nbeing a special lock

I like him more just for the cq potential. Its almost like making someone arash and then instead of dying for it they use george s1 lol. Kinda nuts imo.

@@lunk2569 it seems to be more work for similar gains honestly. His sleep is good to get past some mechanics but he bricks easy if you don't manage or do high damage for him being main dps. Vitch just seems more fun overall with her cooldown reduction and more useful to get if I played jp

@@ivanbluecool oh i just meant at the very least he is good for a free 3 turn taunt and wave nuke Again vitch has more overall utility especially as a farmer but i think I'd enjoy oberon more personally. Also depends on if you want to sack him or someone else. There are some good targets for it after all, even without someone like merlin to capitalize on it fully. Then again, im the guy here making "crit forever teams" and buster "looping" in NA (np gain abuse on chains on those 5 turn minimum summer 4 quests) without any of the funny meme support ssrs so at the end of the day if you clear the quest and have fun you win. Honestly, sometimes I even like having somewhat of a handicap just for the sake of not cheesing the game too hard cuz lately content has been pretty lacking in complexity imo.

@@lunk2569 makes sense. I just see things for cheap to play or f2p players and they can get better results with vitch if they get lucky. The Oberon stuff is nice but I don't feel like using the system myself when na gets it.

I too am a mere f2p master but i hate having too much repetition (despite having played mmos, ironically, the farmiest genre of all) so i usually like to mess with the really weird new toys DW drops and generally avoid farming like the plague unless its lottos or something. -Honestly im just glad he's good and didnt take 2 years to comeout like a certain unit from shimousa-
