Well remember how the British government thanked Alan Turing for breaking the Enigma code , an accomplishment which allowed the Brits to intercept Nazi transmissions and decode them? Yeah, they did that to him, said he had a choice of going to jail or being chemically castrated. The government knew all through the war that Turing was a homosexual, considered a crime in Britain at the time. Turing kind of had the last laugh though: he chose to kill himself by ingesting hemlock, an erudite reference to the death of the Greek philosopher Socrates. I think Turing thought that nobody would get the reference and that he died laughing. At least I'd like to think so. Socrates said things like the unexamined life is not worth living, and tyrannical governments post a threat to free thinkers. Also I would just like to say that I admire Chris Craighead for having what we Americans call"the right stuff". I grew up in a military family, West point graduates for seven generations .My dad was a CIA operative during the Cold war. The best family story I have takes place during the Revolutionary War when my gggggggg grandfather was sitting in a pub in Pittsfield Massachusetts having a pint. Guy walks into the pub, dusty from the road, orders his pint and starts talking to my g8 grandfather who asks the guy where he's headed. The guy says Ticonderoga, do you fancy coming along? I could use some more men. My g8 says sure sounds like a bit of fun to me. They down their pints and head out the door. The guy tips his three cornered hat and says names Ethan Allen by the way.

As a British citizen, I don’t care what any Rupert or Establishment Oik said to you, Mr. Craighead. You did your duty and did both yourself and the Service proud that day. God bless you. Anyone within the civil or military forces who criticised you clearly did not understand the very ethos of the SAS: Who Dares Wins. In a choice between action and saving people, or inaction and watching both civilians and fellow service people die; you made the right choice. You are a hero, sir. I am sad to see you leave our shores, but with the way you’ve been treated by those in government, they don’t deserve you or your service. We are poorer for the loss, but may you find and live your best life in the United States. Thank you for your service. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

From uk and hearing the old mentality of British military, I have never seen such a effective and brutal fighting spirit. I miss it and great to see again. Also no one is taught this these days, feels like we are a husk compared to what we once were.

With things starting to heat back up, I feel like you guys are waking back up and realizing you need a real military again, U.S and U.K might be brothers but you still need to be able to fight a conflict alone if need be. Hell you guys have our F-35s you paid for but didn't buy the missiles because you knew if you ever had to use them, we'd be beside you supplying them anyways. Shit like that is what's got to change.

I have heard that voice, clear and without origin. I was driven off a road, Del Dios Highway betwee Solana Beach and Escondido, two four wheelers racing. Twas a simple choice, die or jump the curb into the dark abyss. I hit the curb and thought those are the most beautiful stars I have ever seen. A voice of overwhelming depth said "Relax, we are with you." This happened when I was 18, I am now 63 and I remember the voice to this day. Highway Patrol the next day said they were amazed I was alive.Believe in our Lord, for he knew the numbers of hairs on your head before you were born.

Not gonna lie, I had no idea who Christian Craighead was before this podcast. I was vaguely aware of "Obi Wan Nairobi", but couldn't tell you much about it. Podcast blew me away, and I'm so sorry for what Christian had to go through and is currently going through, but I wish him nothing but the absolute best becoming an American citizen. I'm glad he's got a good friend group, and much love and support to him. I hope Nick is able to do a video on the main character because it sounds like it'd be a really, REALLY awesome video, and Christian deserves all the love and support in the world. Thank you for your service, Sir, and I love what you've done with the pocket Bible being an "Armor Upgrade". Perfect. Just perfect. Also, he said "The Wrong Wolf" isn't on Amazon, but it actually is. I don't know if Christian misspoke, isn't aware, or if Amazon is doing something they shouldn't, but the book is being sold on Amazon currently. Much love and support. God bless, and have a wonderful day.

I remember exactly where I was in Nairobi when shit went down. None of us knew who this masked man was at the time, and certainly no one knew of the pivotal role Chris was having in real time on the ground. If one looks at the occasional photos of Chris on mission without the balaclava, one can feel the adrenaline enimating off of him. He stepped up and ran into the burning fire. This is the mark of a man. When it was finally done, he simply disappeared from the scene as 'The Silent Professionals' do. By now of course his cover as a SF forces operator was blown with pictures of this HERO running around this horrific scene saving hundreds of lives and ultimately dealing with the savages who brought mayhem upon innocent people. Chris stepped up and did what he was trained to do. Save people's lives. The rest is history. The words hero & legend are nowadays so overused that the have lost their true meaning. Chris is the definition of hero & legend 🙌 ❤

As a non-declared trainee, I had a chaplain give me a Bible. I kept it with me, because the way that man talked to me, he was genuine about his faith.
