I also have two more arguments to support your theory : first, it would make sense for Obito to prevent Itachi from getting MS by forcing him to give away his father's eyes. We don't know what EMS Itachi would have looked like, but I'm pretty sure Obito didn't want to F around and find out. Secondly, Obito knew that Madara managed to evolve his eyes through Hashirama's cell to obtain a Rinnegan, yet Obito couldn't. We see him stealing Nagato's eyes after his death, but maybe he tried to get this power in his left eye before that moment by implating the strongest sharingan existing at that specific time, which is Fugaku's sharingan. Obito couldn't take Nagato's rinnegan BEFORE his death because those rinnegans were required for Madara's revival, so maybe Obito was trying to plan something similar to revive himself eventually if he needed it.

It’s a decent theory, but it has a lot of plot holes, Obito doesn’t use the Wicked eye, when he could have easily controlled Konan in their fight especially since he was trying to capture her alive - The village would have definitely noticed that Fukaku eye was missing and would have done something to find it - Fukau should be just as good or higher than Minato if he had an ability like Koto

And, the Itachi route is just a theory. Honestly, it's more likely that Itachi took his father's eyes so either Obito nor Danzo would have it. But if we're going by Nick's theory, then it's possible that maybe Obito still got a hold of them somehow, cause the timeline does match. By Nick's theory, Obito would've gotten Fugaku's eyes, at the latest, between Itachi's failure to kill Yagura and when he went to confront him. Either if Itachi had Fugaku's eyes or they were still with Fugaku when buried, Obito would've had enough time to search for them and get them. That means it was probably the eye that he had covered up with his mask/used Izanagi with when fighting Konan.

Good theory, but Fugaku's MS is not canon. That's for one. For two, Obito simply used MS powered genjutsu, it doesn't have to be something like Tsukuyomi or Kotoamatsukami, we know at least 2 Canon events of MS genjutsu being used, like when Shisui used it on Mukai Kohinata and Sasuke uses it on Shee. Kohinata ends up suiciding due to having a curse seal, which triggered as he wasn't gonna break out of this genjutsu. Shee broke out of it because Darui saw him being put under genjutsu and poured his chakra. Both Mukai and Shee had strong genjutsu resistance, but still, MS genjutsu put them away. So Yagura and his bijuu got put under well prepared MS genjutsu by Obito, and there were no one who saw it and would have been able to break him out of it till Ao appeared. Also, Obito having the Kamui could just be appearing and casting genjutsu again from time to time, which made it seem like something of kotoamatsukami level. We even saw the scene where Obito reveals his identity as Madara to Kisame, Obito was standing right behind Yagura, which means that he visited Yagura more than 1 time, which could mean that he was applying his genjutsu periodically

Love the theory, great video. That aside, one thing I can't help but notice with all theories regarding the passing on of Sharingan abilities, is that the Sharingan is not exclusive to just male Uchihas and that the mothers of these characters we talk about are over looked in these discussions. I realize this is largely due to the lack of information given to us by Kishimoto, however I find hard to believe that the assumption that Itachi and Sasuke's mothers' own Sharingan abilities had no hand in what abilities they manifested in their own.

Can we talk about Yagura's age? There's some real contradictions. The general consensus was that he died at like 18-20. He doesn't argue with Naruto when Naruto says he "looked like he wasn't old enough to have kissed a girl", despite the fact he had to have at least one child by then (In Boruto he has a grandson). He isn't mentioned being the youngest Kage ever but if he was Mizukage for years he had to have been made Kage at like 12-13? He was in genjutsu up until he died so at like 14 he had a child with someone while under genjustu? It gets more messed up the more you think about it.

Haven't watched it yet, but I think this theory makes alot of sense, it's why obito never goes blind despite spamming kamui, as he has EMS, also explains how he was able to puppeteer yagura so easily (fugaku MS genjutsu hax), and also it might be the eye he used for izanagi, not that he just put in a spare just in case for konan, but that this other eye he genuinely uses for genjutsu purposes to catch his opponent off guard, we've just never really seen him fight seriously enough to use it before he gets rinnegan, and when he can use it against konan, it's too late and he had already underestimated her.

It could simply be that the EMS shape is a fusion of the 2 MS only because the 2 sets of eyes used were MS eyes. If a regular Sharingan is used, then there is no MS pattern to merge, so the resulting EMS would just look the same as the original MS. Obito knew about EMS, and knew that its better than a regular MS, so it is certainly guaranteed that he would want it for himself if he could get it even if he could heal the damage since no damage or pain (and thus distraction) at all is better.

I really like this theory. It seems like the curcumstances actuallyy could like up to support it as you mentioned, and would not only give closure on Obito's invomvement, but also psuedo-confirm Fugaku's Genjutsu ability that earned him the title of "Wiched Eye" could possibly be tied to his left MS eye, _the same eye Itachi's MS genjutsu ability, Tsukuyomi, is in._ We would obiously assume Obito implanted Fugaku's Eye in the open left eye socket and kept his Kamui eye in his right one. In any case it would fit that both Itachi and Fugaku having a genjutsu MS ability in _specifically_ their _left eyes,_ based on their father-son relation being directly genetically related and all. And that Obito's Kamui MS is his right eye.

On the last point on Obito having similar genjutsu prowess as Fugaku during the 9 tails rampage: what are the odds that perhaps being rebuilt with a white zetsu just allowed him to push his genjutsu abilities farther than what he probably would've been able to do prior! I'm saying this is a similar vein as the first regenerative ability is also why it theorized his overuse of Kamui was okay. That's also not to say that in a way having direct access to Madara also wouldn't have helped Obito unlock more capabilities out of his eyes than he would've under normal conditions. Tldr love this theory

In the English dub of the anime, Deidara says he’s the “newest member after Itachi,” which would put Kisame as having joined before Itachi. No idea what the original line is though, but this is in like, the first couple episodes of Shippuden that he says this, when they’re having one of their mind-meld conference things.

Nick, he was an orphan. It’s been confirmed by the anime. In Obito’s backstory arc, where we get to see how he met kakashi, Rin, how he became a Genin etc. we get to meet his “family” which consists solely of his 80 year old grandma. We’re told that Obito, like Naruto was an orphan his entire life, never knowing his parents. Given that the Uchiha massacre takes place 7-10 years after his “death” his grandma was probably dead by then. Even if you wanted to discount all filler as absolutely never cannon. You could also make the argument that his entire family was a part of the leaf police force. And thusly, had itachi kill the leaf police.

What’s thing did you hate the most about the war arc? Mine is Suigetsus brother being reanimated but Suigetsu didn’t even talk to him after and he didn’t do anything after being talked up as a great swordsman would’ve been cool to see kakashi and guy fight with him too

I like war arc, but I dislike Asuma meeting his team at that time. It was to develop this team. To made final change in Choji and to get time to Asuma to say his final words. But Asuma said his final words to all of them when he was dying. They development as a team was done before his death and even more at their revenge on akatsuki. And Choji's change was done at Sasuke rescue arc. Those whole fight and their meeting, etc were meaningless for the story.

My theory on how he put a perfect jinchuriki under genjutsu is that he managed to put them bother under genjutsu at the exact same time, so neither would be able to break the other out of it. He wouldn't need Fugaku's eyes for that.

I think obits prowess was boosted by the hashirama cells as well as direct training by madera. I think he was likely boosted by the spiral zetzu when wearing it. We don't know when be isn't or stops wearing spiral zetsu. Yamamoto was weilding a smaller version of hasharamas 1000 slaps minus the golem. Side note. They should have had spiral zetzu saving obito at least once.

Well, Juzo did die right there, so maybe Zabuza learned about the battle (a Kage being ambushed by the Akatsuki is no small matter), so swung by the place and collected the sword. Or maybe Juzo even found a way to give it to him before dying- one could wonder if he knew of Zabuza already.

Obito was able with his Sharingan to peer into the Mindscape of a Jinchuriki and place the sealed Bijuu under Genjutsu. He must have done so to Isobu after subduing Yagura himself, which subsequently allowed Yagura to be placed under a Genjutsu that his Bijuu could not break on his behalf.

It could have been that one defection gave a window for the others. If the village is after one of them already, then their attention is split if someone else splits, then another. Domino effect
